What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Ginger Bistro is praised for its lively atmosphere, friendly and witty staff, and generally delicious food, with many highlighting the ginger squid and sea bass. However, some reviews mention that the restaurant can get noisy, and one reviewer had a very negative experience with service prioritizing delivery orders and large groups over in-house diners.
"Landed in Belfast last night and we walked past The Ginger Bistro the menu and warm decor lured us in. Boy were we glad we did! From start to finish the guys made us feel welcome and we had some great chats. The food was absolutely amazing and they were playing some absolute classics from the bar. Can't recommend The Ginger Bistro highly enough."

"We visited The Ginger Bistro with friends as they rated the restaurant highly for its food and atmosphere. They weren't lying. The staff are super friendly and helpful while the nicely balanced menu has some excellent dishes.
Since the squid starter is apparently a staple we took the hint and yes it's great. Afterwards I continued the seaside theme by moving onto the sea bream. A good choice as the fish was perfectly grilled while the potato that came with it was excellent.
The only downside is that The Ginger Bistro is popular and it was packed on a Friday night. So it did get a bit noisy and hard to hear - although of course we played our part in creating that problem!
Overall then this is a great restaurant to visit with friends if you enjoy good food and lively conversation. I suspect that you'll want to book a table in advance though to avoid disappointment."

"Great restaurant. Buzzy atmosphere but not overly loud. Food was amazing. Lots of Gluten Free options. Beef bourguignon was one of the best meals Ive had. Lovely to have a choice of GF deserts too. £100 for 2 mains, a side, two deserts, a cocktail and a glass of wine and a tip seemed a fair price."

Though they make a mean Espresso Martini here, this restaurant almost didn’t make the list as I didn’t love my meal here. I’m not keen on French cuisine as you may have guessed from this post, however, I’d heard a lot of great things about their vegan menu and I was intrigued. I ordered the risotto with parmesan and truffle oil to start, which was delicious.
