Reviews Summary
Woods Restaurant is widely praised for its welcoming, family-run atmosphere and consistently excellent service. Guests rave about the delicious British cuisine with a French influence, particularly the perfectly cooked steaks and the unique Hungarian dessert wine. While some note that certain side dishes or vegetarian options could be more imaginative, the overall dining experience is highly recommended for special occasions and a taste of Bath's independent restaurant scene.
"I had a fantastic dining experience at The Woods Restaurant! The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, so I didn’t need to add any extra salt or seasoning.
We enjoyed a beautifully cooked steak with crispy fries, a perfectly balanced fish dish with delicate flavors, and a delightful dessert that was both visually stunning and delicious. And the highlight of the evening? Their have a Hungarian dessert wine - Tokaji Édes Szomorodni - truly the non plus ultra!
A wonderful place with great ambiance, excellent service, and outstanding flavors. Highly recommend!"

"Great restaurant, the atmosphere is excellent and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The food was top notch, I had the duck and the other halve had hake, perfection. My only criticism and even though they were cooked well, is that the boiled potatoes and broccoli were slightly disappointing. I would highly recommend woods to friends/family."

"Even though I only had a starter, I have to give a 5 star to this restaurant!! I planned my trip in Bath and reserved this spot far ahead. However, I fell sick right on the day and had little appetite. The restaurant was really understanding and they made me feel welcomed regardless. Was sad that their fish soup was out but their tomato soup was also delicious and made me feel better. There is also complimentary bread and butter. Don't know if I will be back in Bath in the future, but if I do, I will definitely give them another try."
