Reviews Summary

Diners rave about Same Same But Different for its delicious and unique sandwiches, particularly the Grilled Bacon and Brie. The French toast is also a standout, praised for its light and fluffy texture. The cafe offers a charming and relaxed atmosphere with friendly, efficient staff, making it a gem just off the main street. However, some reviews mention inconsistencies with reheated food and a surprising service charge.

"Didn't call in but managed to get a seat on a busy weekday morning. It's a cute tiny café with friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices. We ordered a sandwich, poached eggs on toast and a flat white. If there's one thing I highly recommend, it's the Grilled Bacon and Brie sandwich with their homemade chutney. It is probably the best sandwich I've had so far. Simple flavours yet they work together perfectly! I'd be back just to have that sandwich again :)"

"My partner and I came here after finding reviews online saying that it was a treat. Boy oh boy were those reviews right! I had the French toast with frozen berries and white chocolate - probably one of the best sweet breakfasts I have ever had! This type of breakfast usually is too heavy for me, but it was so light and fluffy ☁️ my partner had the full English which was also delicious. Coffees were spot-on, vibe was good and the people working at the cafe were informative and friendly. Keep it up team! ☕"

It's a small place but it didn't feel cramped. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit."

10 Best Lunch Spots in Bath in 2024

Cute and colourful, Same Same is a little cafe tucked just off George Street that used to be the best tapas dinner spot in Bath. Now it’s more of a lunch and small plates place, serving up toasted sandwiches on artisan bread with tasty fillings like harissa grilled chicken with avocado, overnight beef brisket with caramelised onions, and roast Mediterranean vegetables with basil and goat’s cheese. Any of the sandwiches can be turned into a salad if you’d prefer a lighter lunch and if you’re there on a sunny day, nab a table outside to watch the world go by.

Top 50 Gluten-Free Spots for a Memorable Dinner in Bath

We turned up for a quick breakfast as some reviews said it was coeliac safe - the server let me know that although it was gluten free, it wasn't safe for me to eat there. They explained through the procedures well and I was very well informed, but just a warning that they can't cater for cross contamination. We ended up just having a tea (can't really go wrong) but my milk was served with crumbs in it!
