The Olive Tree consistently impresses with its high-quality, innovative dishes and exceptional service, earning a Michelin star and widespread acclaim. While some note minor points like course size or room decor, the overall experience is described as exceptional, with many highlighting the outstanding vegan and gluten-free options. Diners praise the friendly staff, creative flavors, and elegant atmosphere, making it a memorable destination for fine dining.
"A charming little restaurant serving high-quality food in a relaxed, refreshing setting. The crab dish was especially enjoyable—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It was the perfect stress-free dinner—simple, satisfying, and memorable."
Jordan Higgins
"Good standard for a 1 star. Manager in shift felt a bit disconnected or odd if I may say. All the waiters were professional and attentive. Wine was delicious and well recommended. We had the 3 course set with amuse bouche and petits fours, flavours were different and interesting, chefs coming to the tables was refreshing to see and well executed. It left a bit to desire on actual course size and time that it took for us to finish our meal. It was all too quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite nice. I would just say the walls were missing some extra decor.
Overall good experience, though for the price paid it left a bit to desire."
Dinis Almeida
"My husband and I went for supper last weekend for our first wedding anniversary. We were seriously impressed on all counts, the food was inventive and delicious, the service was friendly but not intrusive and the chefs coming out to explain the dishes was a nice touch. We haven’t had a Michelin star meal of this calibre since Roots in York- in our opinion we finally found a restaurant to rival it. Truly an exceptional experience, don’t hesitate just book! Thank you for a lovely evening!"
