"Had our dinner here as we are on a weekend break.
Well if I could give them more stars I would. We didn't book but we were seated right away. My husband had scampi and I had the steak with all the trimmings and both dishes were superb. My husband had the lemon meringue pie and I had the sticky toffee pudding although beautiful It came with summer Berry's on top which wasn't to my taste. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Service was very swift and food piping hot.
I would highly recommend here for a meal 🙂"

"Wanted to love this bar, did not, but I will go again as the evening I visited they were playing the worst football match ever and I am not sure having spoken to friends my experience was typical. Next time I am taking our dog so service will probably be on task."

Handily situated next to the Mercure hotel, and close to the town centre, Smiths is a lively restaurant and bar and has a good range of food on the menu. And, of course, the food itself is delicious. Of particular note is the lasagne – one of the best I have tasted – and for dessert I can recommend the Caramel Apple Betty, with custard.
