What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bay of Bengal garners mixed reviews. While many praise the delicious Indian cuisine, particularly the sea bass, and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere, some customers have reported bland dishes and issues with portion sizes and value for money. The BYOB policy is a notable advantage for many, though inconsistent experiences with food quality are also mentioned.
"Hands down the best Indian I've ever had. Visited with a table of 6 and every single one of us agreed. Including avid food lovers who regularly dine at various Indian restaurants. Food was hot, quickly brought out, and cooked to perfection."
James Cook
"Not very impressed. As it's takeaway only I ordered and was told it would be 30mins. Returned after 20mins and the food was already done. The food was already going cold. Two dishes ordered were very bland. Bengal special is chicken and king prawn. One king prawn in the dish. Disgraceful for £10.95. Chicken tikka masala for £9.95 is mainly sauce with a small chicken breast at most. Naan bread was very doughy and not cooked on one side. Chips were swimming in grease and at £3.50 a portion were terrible. I now know why the chip shop in aberdovey was so busy and the Bengal was empty. Definitely wont be back."

"On holiday, My Birthday and after reading the reviews there wasn't another place worthy to go (me liking Indian food swayed that decision lol) I had a Chicken Balti with Garlic Nann and Mushroom Pilau Rice, Absolutely delicious it's a pity we live so far away esle I'd be in here most weekends, we'll worth a visit you will not be disappointed.."

I only ate onion bhajis and popadoms from the Bay of Bengal Indian takeaway in Aberdovey, because I was feeling a bit full of food after eating out so much!. But they were both tasty and Joe's curry looked yummy too.
