Reviews Summary

Kinoya is celebrated for its authentic Japanese izakaya experience and award-winning ramen, with deeply flavorful broths and expertly crafted components. Diners praise the cozy atmosphere and the immersive chef's table experience. While generally excellent, some reviews note that service can be slow during peak times and prices are on the higher side for some dishes.

"I celebrated my birthday at this Japanese restaurant and was lucky to get a seat at the chef’s table. The experience was incredible! The place has a cozy and authentic atmosphere that truly transports you to Japan. The staff were warm and attentive, and the service was top-notch. Every dish we had was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, you can really taste the quality and care put into each bite.

I was so impressed that I booked it again for my bosses and guests, and they were just as blown away. Everyone loved the place! It’s now one of my top recommendations for anyone looking for a special, authentic Japanese dining experience.🍣🍜🍡🇯🇵

Highly recommended! 🙌"

"Having lots of awards and even the prestigious Michelin star, I honestly had high expectations with the dishes we ordered here.

You need to have a reservation to dine with them, and we opted for the earliest time available, which was an 8 PM slot. They offer 2 hours of free parking in the building, which is good. Entering the restaurant is a breeze, although we had a hard time locating it inside the building. We were seated around the chefs preparing the food, which is really entertaining to see.

Service-wise, ordering is okay, and the staff is helpful with the queries that we have, but if you need additional orders or even ask for the bill, it's difficult to spot a staff member who can assist you.

Now, for the food, I'm not sure if we set our expectations too high because of their awards, but the dishes we ordered were just ordinary. Nothing great. It's like you get full, but you won't recall or crave those dishes after that. Plus, the prices are a bit on the higher side.

Hopefully, they can still improve over time."

Gia Arceta

"We’d been hearing quite a bit of buzz about this place, so we finally decided to give it a try. Luckily, we were seated at the chef’s table—a great spot where you can watch the ramen being prepared right in front of you. It instantly brought back memories of small, specialty ramen shops in Japan, where the focus is entirely on the craft.

The ramen itself was rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying—definitely comfort food at its best. We also ordered the plum wine, which is a classic addition and pairs beautifully with the meal.

The ambiance is well thought out and adds to the overall dining experience. As for its spot on the “50 Best” list—well, that might be up for debate. While the food is genuinely good, the pricing does feel a little steep for a single bowl of ramen. Still, if you’re after quality and that authentic feel, it’s worth trying."
