Housed in a small space under a barrel-vaulted ceiling, and a terrace at the front, this beautiful venue is a great place to unwind after a long day of walking. It takes away much of the stress from choosing what to order.

This cozy venue is the place to come for simple home cooking, in the form of a reasonably priced, four-course, set menu cooked nightly by the owner and his team. Dinners come with soup, meze plate or salad, and a choice of two or three main courses (generally beef, lamb, or chicken though there's also a somewhat basic vegetarian option), and a fruit/dessert plate.

Out of all the Cappadocia restaurants, this one should catch your eye because it’s also an art gallery. As you sit and eat, you can look around at the amazing artwork on the walls; dining here is quite an experience and showcases the artistic talents of Cappadocia’s locals. The menu here is quite large and varied, and in my opinion, it’s the best vegetarian restaurant in Cappadocia as there’s a large range of dishes for non-meat eaters too.

We were luckily able to move our missed dinner reservation from the first night ahead by one night so that we could eat to Pumpkin Göreme Restaurant and Art Gallery. This was the only restaurant in Cappadocia where we pre-booked a spot because we read about it over and over on other internet blogs. They serve a fixed menu that, at first, appears to lack authenticity because of the “point to a picture” style of ordering.

The Pumpkin Art Gallery is located in the center of Goreme and as its name implies, it is a restaurant full of pumpkins. The owner and chef of the establishment transforms pumpkins into table lamps with the same ease and love he cooks his delicious dishes. The menu is different every day, but fixed, and is made with A quality products.

For a cozy and intimate dining experience, Pumpkin Göreme Restaurant is a top choice. Known for its friendly atmosphere and farm to table approach, this restaurant offers a seasonal menu that includes dishes like herb crusted lamb and vegetable casseroles. The small outdoor terrace provides charming views of Göreme’s fairy chimneys.

If you’re looking for a contemporary twist on Turkish cuisine, Pumpkin Göreme Restaurant is the place to go. This trendy eatery prides itself on blending traditional flavors with modern techniques, and it’s always a popular choice. Their menu features a wide range of options, including vegetarian and vegan options.

Like many restaurants in Cappadocia, Pumpkin is located in a cave and has a super cozy atmosphere. They serve a prix fixe menu for 120 TL (~$20 USD) that changes every night. Ours came with lentil soup, salad, vegetarian mezze, a choice of main (we went for lamb), and baklava with ice cream for dessert.

This is a small, friendly restaurant with fixed menus per person. The price of the menu is fixed but not always what’s on them – so you might want to call in advance to see what their main dish is. The employees are very friendly and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The beauty of restaurants in Göreme is that most of them are extremely cosy serving delicious comfort food and Pumpkin Göreme is no exception. The owner of the restaurant is also a chef there so you can expect the best service and good quality food.

Make reservations in advance as reviews mention it can fill up fast. Pumpkin offers a fixed menu, however they have vegan and vegetarian options available upon request. 4.7 star reviews on Google out of almost 300 reviews.

Pumpkin Restaurant in Goreme is not just any ordinary restaurant, it’s a culinary experience. Per the chef/owner’s recommendation, we ordered the Organic Chicken entree and Clay Pot Kebab. Both were so delicious.

Pumpkin Goreme Restaurant & Art Gallery is a hidden gem restaurant that’s not so hidden anymore!. It has a cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering menu, making it a favorite among locals and travelers alike.

We didn’t get to try these other ones, but we were recommended these restaurants as well: Pumpkin Goreme, Mulberry Cafe (Chinese food), Kings coffee shop for desert, Seten, and Organic Cave Kitchen.

A family-run restaurant known for its fresh ingredients and warm hospitality. The venue doubles as a small art gallery, adding to its charm.

Other restaurants that looked amazing but we did not try were Retro Cafe and Pumpkin Göreme Restaurant. We’ll be back to visit soon!

Lintel soup, lamb chop, steak , rice pudding, and baklava were great. Clay pot dish - underwhelming- beef was dry and tough.
