Reviews Summary
Costa Viva Bodrum is lauded for its prime location within the bazaar and its incredibly friendly staff who make guests feel welcome. While many appreciate the convenience for exploring Bodrum and nearby areas, some guests have encountered significant cleanliness issues, including reports of bed bugs and mold. Maintenance problems and a disappointing breakfast buffet have also been noted by a few.
"I really had the best time there. The staff are amazing and so welcoming. The location the best. The rooms are clean and have good spaces. I can’t describe the breakfast it’s amazing. I really recommend. The yard and the pool is amazing when you come here you don’t feel like go out you can spend your all holiday only at viva ;)"

"My friend found bed bugs in her room and was told to continue staying in the same room for the night. Completely unacceptable. My other friend’s hairdryer lit on fire and the reception told her it was normal. In my room, the overall cleanliness was poor. The toilet was dirty, there were no hooks to hang clothes or towels, and housekeeping is only done if you request it every morning. Even then, they did not clean our room for 2 out of the 4 nights despite us asking. When we requested clean towels, we were told they had run out. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. Very limited variety and unhygienic with flies around the food. This is beyond the hotel’s control, but the prayer call at 5am every morning was very loud and interrupted our sleep. The only positives were the free bottled water and a water dispenser available on site, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the overall experience. Would not recommend."

"The hotel had clean and tidy rooms, a beautiful pool, pretty good breakfast service, overall kind staff and was located at a strategic location exactly within the center of Bodrum, all these advantages offered at a relatively good price. The things that I disliked were the following:
1. Very old bathroom that needs immediate upgrade. Ceiling was ripped off while there was an intense bad smell within the shower area.
2. Messed-up hallway due to renovations of the time, that should had been done while the hotel was closed.
3. Intense drilling from workers outside. While I was trying to rest in my room and enjoy relaxation, workers (directly) outside of my door’s room were non-stop drilling holes even at 12:00 noon were people usually wanna take a quick nap while being on holidays. That was very annoying and not acceptable. On top of that, they were talking loudly a lot too.
4. I’m going to mark that Number 4 wasn’t hotels mistake nor they can do anything about it since it
isn’t their business, but it has to be noted that there’s a Mosque nearby that makes a lot of loud noice through speakers, something that someone should take in mind in case he desires quiet moments. Hearing it at 5 o’clock in the morning, well it wasn’t the the best thing for someone sleeping.
5. There’s no view at all, you couldn’t see anything outside the small available window apart from concrete. That was a little disappointing.
Generally (apart from North Korea) I find it sort of unsusal to see political figures displayed in hotels, as if the touristic hotel is a governmental building or something. Of course not saying that I had any issues with it nor I’m accusing-blaming anyone since it isn’t a bad thing and it isn’t affecting someone’s holidays, only mentioning that I found it a little unusual, I mean you while traveling in the US you wouldn’t see portraits of George Washington in the walls of the hotel. Again I repeat I’m totally fine with it, no problem for this, (personally I even like this politician), only mentioning it because it seemed kinda unsusal and I wanted to make a full review of the place.
The overall experience and service of the hotel was okay, I’d probably suggest it to a visitor that wants to have relative cheap vacations in Bordrum and at the same time desires to be close in the center. I’d inform him about the warnings mentioned above, but still it’s not a bad place, and I’d say that it could be available for your options too. Probably I’d visit it too again. With the corrections that I advised, (apart from the morning prayer calls that it’s not hotel’s business) the hotel could be for sure even greater. Not that bad experience overall. I liked my stay.
P.S I’ve seen a lot of people commenting negatively the breakfast while complaining of bug issues in the room. Personally speaking at least, breakfast was very good like I said before and we had zero issues with any bugs."

We stayed one night in transit to Kos, very comfortable bed, Turkish breakfast mostly salty of good quality, very quiet room, little equipped but not very small, tiny and minimal bathroom. Cleaning ok in the basics especially the immaculate and good quality linen. A little maintenance is missing but they are working on it, the situation is a bit like the end of construction site.
