"July 2024 Lunchtime on a hot summer's day at the Harbour Kitchen and Bar.

From the moment we walked in, the host was attentive. He also spoke to us in English which instantly put us at ease. We have been learning Turkish but are not very confident ... Yet! He led us to a lovely outdoor seating area which had a covering. We were sat by the waterfront. Stunning view of the bay and of the Red Tower.
A seafood platter was chosen which my colleague enjoyed thoroughly. Beautifully presented and a good size portion. The sauce complimented the variety of seafood.
As I am a vegetarian, the host asked what I liked and they would accommodate my needs. It was an intensely hot day, so I chose a salad and grilled vegetables. I also chose a fresh fruit & lemonade drink.
My meals were again beautifully presented, large portions - tasty and fresh sauces. The fruity drink was refreshing and was presented within a pineapple.
For dessert, my colleague chose an Amoretto ice-cream. Again a good size portion and tasty. I was too full to order a dessert but the host still bought out a complimentary fruit tray. I thoroughly enjoy fruit but my belly was too full at this point to complete.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was faultless. The service providers were smartly dressed & polite. Our food was fresh and we didn't wait for long. There was no 'pressure' from the moment we walked in. The premises were clean. The main host interacted with us positively. He was able to provide details on the ingredients used. It was a lovely calm atmosphere during this time of the day. We were able to interact with guests on the table next to us who were Turkish and were regulars.
The toilet facilities were clean. There is a secure outdoor children's area. Parking is directly outside. I am not sure what the arrangements for parking are as on this occasion we were on a walkabout.
Total price for both of us was approximately £60 / 2500 lire. This is reasonable amount & a good deal compared to UK prices.

This is our first visit to Turkey and this was also our first visit to a restaurant. Thank you to Harbour Kitchen and Bar for treating us really well on our first experience. Keep up with the good work."

"We ordered quite a lot of food, and while it was good, the prices felt very high for what was offered. The views are truly amazing, but unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by service and cleanliness. Our waiter seemed reluctant to even show us the menu, brought the wrong drinks order, and then doubled it—something that couldn’t be taken back as the drinks were made to order. Since his English was good, there was really no excuse for the mistake. To top it off, the place didn’t feel as clean as it should have been."
