Open sinds begin 2016, gelegen in het centrum van Haarlem en vanaf dag één weet freelance-koffie-lovend Haarlem de plek te vinden – terecht ook. De bakkies troost die op tafel komen, de hoofdnoot bij Native, vallen onder de categorie 'de beste' en de rest – broodjes, taart, dat soort, is allemaal 'bio-' en vaak glutenvrij. Net als de zaak trouwens, dat 'bio': veel groen, vintage en leuks van kleine ondernemers uit de buurt, het gros daarvan te koop.

Native’s tucked-away location on Breestraat gives it the feel of a well-kept secret. Walk in, and you're immediately greeted by a warm, rustic vibe — think wooden tables, plants hanging from the ceiling, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Their menu is seasonal, changing to reflect the best local produce available, and in autumn, this translates into warming flavours.

Tucked away in the Breestraat in the pretty neighbourhood Vijfhoek, Native Haarlem is a cozy coffee spot known for its relaxed atmosphere and passion for quality. Native serves carefully sourced coffee from Amsterdam’s White Label Coffee Roasters. That means a well-balanced, flavourful brew for every coffee lover, whether you’re in the mood for an espresso or a slow pour-over.

In hartje Haarlem, verstopt in een zijstraatje van de Gierstraat, vind je NATIVE. In deze relaxte koffiespot staan de 2 lieftallige eigenaressen iedere dag voor je klaar om je in de watten te leggen met allerlei lokale producten. Denk aan filterkoffie van White Label Coffee, thee van Crusio, soda’s en chai van DD Cordials, en biologische baksels van MAMA Bakery.

Native is located in the beautiful and cozy Breestraat in the district of the Vijfhoek. It is my second home and how I love the nice atmosphere, the love for everything beautiful, the sweet girls who pamper you and all the goodies they serve. A household name for 8 years now and now under the inspired leadership of foodie Eva.

Bij sommige fijne plekjes twijfel je of je dit wel wilt delen.. Native is er zo een die je stiekem het liefste voor jezelf houdt. Verstopt in een klein zijstraatje achter de grote winkelstraat met fijne fauteuils, een lange werktafel waar je ondergetekende zomaar kan zien zitten werken en een kast vol gezelschapsspellen.

Een flexplek waar je in principe de hele dag kunt blijven zitten: op de kaart vind je naast lekkere thee en koffie, namelijk ook genoeg om de honger mee te stillen. Bij deze tent wordt White Label Coffee geserveerd, van een specialty branderij uit Amsterdam. De koffie wordt ook hier met liefde en aandacht geschonken.

Native is famous for their amazing coffee, but they also have some great food dishes, like delicious open-faced sandwiches and pies. The cafe is located in a small side street just off of the main street of Haarlem, and it's such a cozy spot!. If you're a true coffee lover, then you can't go wrong with Native.

Dit trendy café-restaurant staat bekend om zijn biologische en seizoensgebonden gerechten. Geniet van het ontbijten in Haarlem, met heerlijke opties zoals zelfgemaakte granola, pannenkoeken met vers fruit, en smakelijke avocado-toast. Vergeet niet een van hun speciale koffiecreaties te proberen!

Native bezochten we niet tijdens de coffee walk, maar heb ik zelf voordat de tour begon even uitgetest. Ik had die nacht in het nabijgelegen Zandvoort geslapen (waarover een andere keer meer) en zocht een hip ontbijtadresje in Haarlem. Via een blog kwam ik hier terecht.

It is found in the Vijfhoek area of Haarlem, which is one of the cosiest regions in Haarlem. Here you will find endless small streets and a lot of plants. Native is a lovely coffee corner in Haarlem where you can eat cookies and tasty sandwiches, amongst other things.

Your morning coffee (and cake, you will be ordering cake) should be ordered at Native. Two friends opened this café and to them, it’s all about coffee and fair trade. All the furniture in the shop is second hand and all produce is local.

Nog zo’n fijn adres met goede koffie is Native in de altijd gezellige Vijfhoek. De heerlijke koffie komt van de kleinschalige branderij White Label in Amsterdam. Native heeft een heel huiselijk gevoel, waardoor je er graag terugkomt.

NATIVE is located in one of the many cute streets that Haarlem has. It’s very calm and very green, especially with the plant shop across the street. NATIVE is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a cup of coffee with cake.

They serve some of the best coffee in town, and although they are small, people keep gathering here. Located parallel to the busiest shopping street, you find Native at the narrow Breedstraat where you escape the mass.

Native is a favorite among locals for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious coffee. Located in Haarlem Zuid, this spot offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. Their homemade cakes are a must-try.

Bianca: ik zit hier ook wel eens te werken, de sfeer is altijd heel relaxed en achterin heb je mooi daglicht dankzij het riante daklicht. Inderdaad een heel fijn adresje voor koffie, thee en lekkers.

Native is te vinden in een schattig straatje in het centrum van Haarlem. White Label Coffee is vaste leverancier van de koffiebonen. Deze koffiebar straalt een ontspannen en rustig sfeertje uit.

Ze hebben voor bij deze koffie de lekkerste taartjes eten (ook lactose of glutenvrij). Met een beetje geluk geniet je van al dit lekkers op hun terrasje in de knusse Vijfhoek.

Native, on a quiet, plant-covered street, stands out amongst Haarlem cafes for not just the calming surroundings but also its brunch menu and coffee.

Once it cleared up a bit, we ventured back into Haarlem, where we had our caffeine fix and a yummy slice of carrot cake at NATIVE.

I was on my way to Native (café, see below) that I passed it and so I took the a minute to see inside.
