In an increasingly hip neighborhood on the edge of town, this taqueria serves authentic Mexican food including homemade tortillas (flour and corn), salsa, and hot sauce. The chicken mole is delicious and the margaritas are spot on, too. It's a nice break from Thai food when the need arises.

Further south on Raddamrong, Coffee Home # deserves a mention for coffee and value for money breakfasts, with a tiny outdoor terrace or air-con interior to eat on or in, while turning right down the same alley as Tamsena’s brings you onto the Wednesday Market Road and the Pai coffee institution Cafecito # . Though coffee is roasted and blended on site, we confess to having had better brews in town (though that’s obviously a matter of taste), but their daily bakery selection and Mexican specials are justly reputed.

I had a pretty average burrito at One Fine Day but an outstanding one at Cafecito!. They do various Mexican classics like quesadillas, tacos, tostadas and tortas with your choice of homemade chorizo, pulled chicken, avocado or mushroom carnitas and you can add toppings such as black beans, pickled jalapeños, rice or avocado. I actually almost sent my meal back as I thought they'd given me pulled pork instead of mushroom carnitas but nope, they're just genuinely that meaty and tasty!.

As Americans who have been traveling in Europe and Asia all year, good Mexican food is something that we miss the most. Sadly the restaurant was out of tortilla chips the day we went, but the chicken tacos and huevos rancheros we had were better than we expected them to be in a small Thai town. Cafecito also has some of the best coffee in Pai, I was obsessed with how good my Americano was.

Fresh guac, salsa, and chips are way too rare in Thailand, so it's no surprise that we've had volunteers eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during their weekend visit. It's the perfect place to get your Mexi-food fix, cause their menu also has fat burritos and fabulous vegan shredded pork tacos. Vegan pork tacos are actually made from delicious and magically marinated mushrooms.

If you’re looking for a relaxed setting with live music, Cafecito serves mouthwatering Mexican dishes. Meanwhile, Earth Tone is perfect for vegans and health-conscious eaters, offering plant-based meals and a variety of vegan goods. Cafecito is a lovely coffee shop and Mexican restaurant in the outskirts of Pai, right next to Khaotha Cafe and the Toast office. The atmosphere here is cozy and welcoming, and the Mexican food is delicious. The nice food, comfy seating options, and cool vibes, makes it one of the most popular places for remote workers in Pai.

Located in a popular area of downtown Pai, Cafecito is a Mexican café/restaurant. Famous for its authentic Mexican dishes, you can also just stop by for a drink. The bar serves excellent espressos and caffeinated drinks made from self-roasted beans.

This spot is a bit hidden and outside the main bustle of the town but it’s worth a visit. Order anything that comes with their braised mushrooms and you’ll be in heaven. They are the best mushrooms I’ve ever had in my mouth—EVER.

Cafecito, around the corner from the Pai Police Station, in town, is another of our favourites, too, which takes real local coffee to another level. Their iced coffees are especially refreshing in the hotter months.

Cafecito, this restaurant has Mexican and Thai style meals, the taste is very good, and the atmosphere is good. There are many tourists patronizing it. The food is served very quickly and it has a more casual feel.

If you know me well, you know I’m obsessed with tacos, and Cafecito had some amazing fish tacos. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was just what I needed.
