Unreal breakfast spot in Chiang Mai 🥞 Fern Forest Cafe, this was 650 baht (£15) for two meals, two peach teas and a bottle of water. A bit pricer than we usually go for, but worth it! #chiangmai #breakfast #thingstodo #pancakes #thailand #fernforestcafe

Reviews Summary

Fern Forest Cafe is praised for its serene garden ambiance and delicious food, especially its cakes and Western-Thai fusion dishes. Many enjoy the live music and peaceful setting, though some find it a bit pricey for the portion size. The cafe is a popular spot for brunch and a relaxing escape from the city bustle.

"Wonderful eaterie tucked away from the searing hot main road, with great coverage under frees, ferns and umbrellas to keep you shaded and comfortably sat outside n the landscaped garden.

The classic ambience from the saxophonist and guitarist really sets a relaxed tone and the bubbling waterall in the corner near the koi pond adds a melodic background hum that compliments the great service.

The food and drinks are plentiful and varied, with the massaman curry particularly delightful with a literal coconut cracked freshly open to enjoy!

A must go when in the old town of Chiang Mai, well certainly be back!"

The Best Coffee Shops In Chiang Mai, Thailand

A lush, green garden café in Chiang Mai’s Old City, Fern Forest is well known for its cakes and breakfast menu, which offers western classics alongside more usual Thai fare. There’s a spacious, airy interior and – as the name suggests – a jungle-esque outside space filled with giant ferns. Chiang Mai old city

Fern Forest Cafe is situated on a small residential street in the old town of Chiang Mai. It’s not immediately obvious when you walk past, with a sign covered in the trees, which makes you feel like you’ve come upon a well-kept secret. The coffee seems to be quiet on the weekdays and the Thai preference in the early evenings and on the weekends, but the mood is always comfortable.
