This charming café is a little hard to find (located in a maze-like residential neighborhood soi or alley street) but it’s well worth it!. It’s a 2-story Thai home that has been converted into a café and bakery, surrounded by a lush garden filled with exotic palm, bamboo, philodendron, orchid, and a small waterfall. Teak tables, chairs, pillows and umbrellas set out over the mossy stone terrace.

I wanted to only mention pure vegetarian restaurants in this article, but this cafe restaurant is one of the prettiest restaurants that I visited in Chiang Mai. The entry is a garden with outdoor seating, and a small pond with the biggest Koi fish I’ve ever seen. The coffee here is phenomenal – be sure to try the honey Americano that comes with a piece of honeycomb in it.

This cafe offers an excellent assortment of dessert dishes, although their regular food menu was just ok. I loved their coconut cream cake which was not too sweet, and their french toast dessert was very tasty as well. The cafe is set in a pretty garden space, with a relaxed vibe that makes it a good choice for a break after walking around old town on a hot day.

If you’re looking for a tranquil setting amongst the chaos of Chiang Mai, head to Fern Forest. It’s a full-service café that serves food and scrumptious desserts as well as coffees, teas, and fruit juices. I loved the idyllic charm of the café and could have easily spent the afternoon there drinking lattes and writing in my journal or working on blog posts.

Fern Forest Cafe looks nothing like the local favourites and the clientele was definitively more Western. That said, the food was really quite tasty, and not outrageously priced.

Fern Forest Cafe is a high quality, classy, decadent cafe located to the north west of the Chiang Mai old town. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area with ferns and foliage creating a jungle ambiance. They serve a range of hot drinks, cakes and some epic all day breakfasts.

If you’re in the Old City and looking for a place to cool down from the heat, grab a coffee at Fern Forest Cafe. I don’t remember the coffee or cakes being incredibly memorable but it was beautiful and relaxing from all the hustle and bustle of the city.

Another contender for the most beautiful coffee shop in Chiang Mai!. This glorious little spot near the top of Old Town is shrouded in the ferns that give the forest its name. There’s no way you’d think you were in a city as you sip your coffee.

Highlights: Incredible brunch, beautiful garden patio, great coffee. Downsides: Limited outlets and indoor seating. Fern Forest is a mini oasis in the Mueang Chiang Mai District with the best brunch in Chiang Mai and an amazing garden.

Please ask for pancakes and crispy bacon, if asked what would you like to have. I bet you won’t only like it but shall be overwhelmed. If visiting the same in summers include beer as a part of your meal for gorgeous food time.

I think I have a preference for aesthetic cafes with oasis vibes. Surround me with plants and I’m content. Fern Forest Cafe in Old Town delivered that experience and more with a tropical smoothie bowl and salted caramel latte.

Wow, not too shabby, might even say that the interior is a bit on the posh side, in a good way. However, outside seating is the best. A luscious green garden setting in the middle of the Old City near Chiang Mai Tech.

I decided to put this beautiful cafe/brunch at the end of this article because so many other cafes deserve the hype in Chiang Mai, but still… WHAT A PLACE!. This is one of the best cafes in Chiang Mai!
