What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gaggan is consistently lauded as an exceptional, multi-sensory dining experience that pushes culinary boundaries. Diners rave about the creativity, unique flavors, and theatrical presentation, often calling it a life-changing meal. However, some find the high-energy, music-driven atmosphere overwhelming and prefer a more traditional fine-dining setting.
"What a blast! Gaggan has changed our expectations of fine dining for us forever. They do not just cook, serve and explain the dish. They perform a whole concert!
Everything is very hands-on and interactive. Each dish had a different, unique taste
We were blown away by the taste, presentation and the work that they put into each creative dish.
We really hadn’t known what we had got into, when we made a reservation at Gaggan, but this was definitely the best fine dining experience so far.
It is pricey but oh so worth it. Will be back when we visit Thailand again."

"Mixed thoughts on our visit here. The service and food is absolutely outstanding, no doubt. The team has put in a lot of thought into developing the menu in a very unique way, with a story behind each dish. The wine pairing was on the money for each dish. Loved the community style eating with Gaggan and the staff engaging with everyone during the meal.
The only thing I found overwhelming was the music and clapping - it felt like a cheap Arabian Nights type show - that's not what I expected from this restaurant, which is supposed to be fine dining. That said, I understand that while Gaggan was preparing the last dish, the staff needed something to keep the diners engaged - but music and clapping? Just made it feel like a cheap theatric parlor trick. That said, Gaggan did say at the beginning of the meal that this was all about chaos - and that's exactly what this felt like!
Overall a lovely dining experience, could've been better had it been less loud, and more controlled. But that's a personal preference. If you're visiting Bangkok, you kinda have to try to get a reservation here. Price tag is not that crazy considering how much you would pay for Michelin star restaurants in other parts of the world!"

"Fantastic experience! Worth the wait, the travel and money. Each and every plate was very well studied and put together. And not at all what you would have thought. Mind blowing creativity of massive team of talented professionals. Loved the music too."
