"This is a great restaurant in Aonang. Is pretty popular, so if you are a big group is better to book in advance. Although if is only two of you, you can walk in for lunch or in the evening you might wait 5 to 20 min. Food is consistently good, and despite the amount of tourists it felt traditional. Went here a couple of times and yeah, every single time the taste was there, fabulous. The classics were awesome and all the seafood was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Really recommended."

The food was phenomenal as every dish was full of flavor, fresh and our server nail the spicy level as all was just the right amount of spicy. Reasonably priced, friendly attentive staff, and delicious Thai food - what more can you ask for?
The restaurant is about 200m inland from the beach road and was recommended to us independently by two locals. So we gave it a shot and went there and weren't disappointed. For the last 3 days of our stay we went there both for lunch and dinner, always trying different dishes and they were all very good. To put things into perspective: my wife is Thai and has worked in Thai restaurants in Germany and I am a frequent visitor to Thailand and love the local cuisine.
If you want to eat Western food, Kodam is not for you. But if you like the real Thai food, that's the place to go when you are in Aonang."

KoDam is a kinda hidden place which was actually very close to the Rocco where we lived for a month. We actually we only found out about it from a friend who recommended it because unless you know it, you wouldn’t really head down the tiny street it’s on. When we first visited, we couldn’t believe how busy KoDam was and it was just round the corner from us.

Kodam Kitchen is one of the best Thai restaurants you’ll find in Ao Nang. The place itself, hidden away at the end of a narrow street is very simple and homely with no much decoration or additional comforts. It is definitely the food that plays the main role here and I’d say very rightly so.
