Reviews Summary
Yongkang Beef Noodles is a highly acclaimed Taiwanese eatery, lauded for its authentic and deeply flavorful beef noodle soup with exceptionally tender beef. Diners praise the rich broth, the satisfying texture of the noodles, and the excellent quality of the side dishes. While the authentic taste and Michelin recognition draw crowds, be prepared for potential queues and a cash-only policy.
"So good to be back here after many years for the beef noodles. They are just as good. The beef broth is full bodied made from beef bones. The beef tendon and meat are all soft with good texture.
Their steamed spare ribs with rice powder and steamed large intestines with rice powder are also the must order. The seasoning for the spare ribs and intestines are very satisfying. Intestines are properly cleaned.
Do order the side vegetable dishes to add to the mains. Fresh and tasty.
Be prepared to queue as there is usually a line especially peak hours. Service is very good.
Space can be a little tight and if u have bags with you, look for bag hooks on the table legs. They are very handy when space is tight."

"Really solid bowl of 牛肉麵! The broth had a great depth of flavour but wasn’t too heavy. They were also generous with the meat, which is always a plus! We also ordered the 排骨 which was really special and the 炸醬麵! Everything was really solid and would definitely come again! Don’t sleep on the side dishes either (my fav was the lotus root and the eggplant)"

"This is the best beef noodle spot recommended by my cousin who knows food really well. I loved it!
The beef noodle soup does not have tomato in it (or at least I couldn’t see or taste it). The eggplant and string beans were a good addition. Saw a lot of people who ordered the rice powder dish (it looks like fried rice).
My friend and I came on a Sunday around noon and waited about 10min. The turnover is pretty quick, and staff is friendly."

Yongkang Beef Noodles is one of Taipei’s most famous beef noodle stores with melt in the mouth beef. We had to queue up for about 10 minutes before getting a table inside, right next to where they serve up the noodles – talk about a chef’s table!. Having been open over 50 years, it doesn’t feel like the seating area inside has changed much since it first opened – the tables were packed with a mixture of locals, business people, families and tourists.
4D3N Taipei Itinerary: Insider guide to exploring Taipei and its outskirts like a local
Most people go to Yongkang Beef noodles, but we headed the other direction instead after a local friend’s recommendation. Tucked in a shabby looking shop along Bade Road is Lin Dong Fang beef noodles (林東芳牛肉麵). All I can say is that we weren’t disappointed. The beef was rich and super tender, and I especially loved how their chili oil is made out of beef grease, which complimented the broth super well.

★ LUNCH: Yongkang Beef NoodleIt would be a mistake not to try Taiwan’s famous beef noodle soup. When I arrived, there was a modest line outside the restaurant but turnover is relatively quick here and I was seated within 10 minutes. I ordered the non-spicy version of the beef noodles and spare ribs, both of which were PHENOMENAL. The beef was perfectly cooked in juiciness and fat.
