What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise Taj Indian restaurant for its delicious and authentic Indian cuisine, with many highlighting the flavorful curries and tender kebabs. The friendly service and inviting atmosphere also contribute to a positive dining experience. While most reviews are glowing, some minor complaints mention uncomfortable seating or inconsistent staff service during busy periods.
"Great option if you are celiac in Taipei. The staff were right away able to let me know what was Gluten Free / GF.
Nice range of curries with vegetarian and vegan options as well. They also have a series of set menus to choose from. Sadly they use short grain instead of basmati but still delicious."

"All the curries are seriously impressive! Perfect portion sizes—not too big and reasonably priced—so you can try multiple flavors. Each one has its own distinct and well-pronounced flavors.
Surprisingly, the veggie curry was the winner, but the fish was a close second. The chicken was great too—honestly, they were all delicious! The naan was decent, as expected, and the rice was fluffy but not particularly memorable.
The Malai Chicken was a bit of a letdown, though. The chicken was too dry, and there wasn’t enough cream on top, so the dish felt kind of lacking in flavor.
The restaurant itself is cute and cozy, but the chairs are way too low, which makes it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the food properly. If they changed the chairs, the dining experience would be much better.
Oh, and a fun little touch—the cashier area has a selection of spiced chewing gums for you to try. It’s like getting a little gift before heading home!"
