Reviews Summary

Lan Jia Gua Bao is celebrated for its exceptional gua bao, featuring a soft bun and flavorful braised pork with customizable fillings. Diners also praise the delicious soups, particularly the corn and herbal varieties. While the food is a consistent hit, some patrons note long wait times during peak hours and less-than-friendly service.

"Best spot to try perfect gua bao!

I came here on recommendation of a local friend. When I arrived, there was a line for take-out, but they also offer seated service for which there was no wait.

There's multiple meat stuffings to choose from. I went with the half/half at the recommendation of the staff. It was so delicious that I ordered a second one.

Definitely recommend this spot for gua bao!"

Ilse van Ewijk

"Highly recommended! It’s really nice, the meat is well served with huge portion. Can choose to put nuts or coriander. Nuts brings some sweetness out of salty. If you don’t like sweet recommend not to put. 四神汤is really nice, must have it when it’s hot."

Jun

"The his place is so good and it is a bit special to me because it is the first place I had a guabao. I recommend the 1/2 and 1/2. I really enjoy it. The feeling of grabbing a bao of this caliber on the go is magical. Obviously, it’s for a quick bite and not a real lunch or sit down place you should take your date."

Where To Eat In Taipei, Taiwan.

Gua Bao @ Lan Jia (Section 3, Luosifu Rd) – widely lauded as serving the best gua bao in Taiwan, at Lan Jia they serve two types of fillings – lean pork meat or fatty pork – the best option is to have half and half. Garnished with the traditional toppings of pickled mustard greens, sugary peanut powder and fresh coriander, they are sometimes referred to as ‘Taiwanese hamburgers’ or my favourite name ‘Tiger bites pig’.
