With a kitchen that stays open until 1am, pizza made on the spot in a wood-fired oven, and a decent vegetarian menu to boot, Grampi’s is the kind of unpretentious, welcoming Italian restaurant where you can sit and chat with friends for hours. A highlight of the menu is the “Raclettissima” pizza, which is, as the name suggests, a raclette (cheese with silverskin onions and gherkins) in pizza form.

Grampi’s has the typical Tuscan Italian feel, decked out in cozy oranges and yellows with the ceiling covered in different photographs and random memorabilia. You can easily spend the entire time waiting for your food craning your neck and looking at all the photographs firmly (I hope) attached to the ceiling. The food here is the quintessential Italian fare, but authentic and done to perfection.

The menu features a variety of freshly made wood-fired pizzas, pasta dishes, and other Italian favourites. One of the highlights is Grampi’s spare ribs served with crispy French fries.

The authentic Italian pizzeria offers traditional wood-fired pizza, pasta, grilled meats, and salads. The atmosphere is extremely friendly, with hosts welcoming you in immediately. Many of the staff have been working at the restaurant for more than 20 years, giving the establishment a homely feel.

After all, you aren’t too far away from the Italian border, so you can easily expect delicious Italian food. Their staff are super friendly and you’re guaranteed a delicious meal. Again, things book up pretty quickly in Zermatt, I’d recommend booking ahead to ensure your carbohydrate feast!

Apart from the excellent food, you are guaranteed a fun time at Grampis. The restaurant has a unique decor and the busy staff is always good fun. If you plan on going out after dinner, you are already perfectly situated at the nightlife hotspot, with bars and clubs on the same street.

Also, Chalet da Giuseppe by the bottom of Sunnegga station is ever popular but if you find it irritating to have to book a table weeks in advance go to Grampi’s, as many locals do. Open until 1 a.m., they serve pizza made in a wood-fired oven. Relaxing and casual.

Start at Grampi’s on Bahnhofstrasse and take the small path up towards the church. Continue up the hill following the signs to Edelweiss and then when you arrive follow the signs at Edelweiss to the Hohbalmen.

Grampis – This casual loft restaurant features homestyle Italian cooking and tastes especially good after a long day on the slopes. I recommend ordering a pasta and a pizza and sharing among the group.

Apart from those indicated by the application, we also saw that one called Grampis (Bahnhofstrasse 70) had a sign indicating that they served gluten-free food.

Other recommendations include the bars at the Hotel Alex and Hotel Pollux, while Grampi’s and the Schneewittchen nightclubs are ideal for late-night revellers.

Superb value for money, charming Italian staff, genuine Italian pizza and pasta, good food, huge portions. What more could you want?. The place has a buzz.

Owned by an Italian, this place is known for amazing pizza, pasta, calzones, and gelato. They also cater to Celiacs with gluten free pizza and pasta.

If it’s pizza you crave, there are several options that will leave you satisfied: North Wall, Casa Mia, Vivanda, and Grampi’s.

On the back of this a good spot in town is Grampis for pizza and pasta...good pricing and no pretentiousness.
