"Had a great Saturday night family dinner here on May 17th. And when I say family dinner, I mean 16 of us. Just the mere fact that they were able to accommodate us all was surprising, but then the food was also great and the service and the personalities of the staff that took care of us was even better and made the experience that much better. I'm not sure if Alessandro is the owner, one of the owners or a manager, but he was so attentive and personable that it really made the night. In fact, while we were walking by a night or two later after the restaurant had closed, we ran into him out front and sat around shooting the shit with him for 10 minutes. Anyway, I'd recommend the place for the food, the view and the service."

Once we got settled in, we went to the hotel’s restaurant, “La Cucina” and had ourselves one of the fanciest meals ever. While super gourmet food usually looks divine, I never actually have interest in eating it. Probably because I’m a relatively picky eater and I want to know every ingredient, and gourmet usually means complicated.

As much as you will want to sit outside, opt for an indoor table as it will be much cooler, especially in the summer months. And for me lakefront really requires being on the lake.

Surprisingly, relaxing during an entire day does build up an appetite!. As a vegetarian, I was a little bit worried when dinner time came. The typical gastronomy of Ticino is filled with delicatessen and meat.
