What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Grotto San Rocco is celebrated for its absolutely stunning waterfront location and fresh, locally sourced Italian cuisine, particularly the truffle pasta. While many praise the friendly service and unique grotto experience, some reviews mention mediocre food, unmotivated service, and high prices, suggesting it might cater more to tourist groups than returning locals.
"Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon on our way from Lake Como to Lucerne. We had a wonderful view from our table and lunch was fresh, simple and delicious. I started with the beet salad with walnuts and goat cheese and had the mushrooms with polenta for my main. My husband started with the special burrata salad and had the fresh tagliatelle with truffle. All of the food was great, but the fresh pasta with truffle was al dente perfection. Great spot to stop for lunch!"

"Perfect panorama, delicious dishes and the friendliest staff (as attached 😄). The Guanciale was superb, some portions are a bit small however. The menu is quite short, but the variety is great with the daily options."

"Absolutely fantastic little restaurant. We had the Risotto workshop, which comes with also a delicious appetizer, wines and dessert. Our hostess, Jasmin, was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend both the workshop and this restaurant!"
