"Just today morning I had attended a cooking classes in this lovely place. First of all, I want to thank again the owners for accepting me as the only person :))) I had a great experience of cooking together with wife of the owner and have to say, curry's we made were the best I ate so far in Sri Lanka. I am a cook myself so I had quite some expectations, but it was one of the best cooking experiences so far. I learned quite a lot and classes were taking place in a lovely garden scenery with local, homemade grown vegetables. Don't worry, you will not leave this place with an empty stomach :) There is plenty to eat! Wish I had a chance to finish at least half of what was prepared 🤣 So delicious!

"Best cooking experience in Sri Lanka!
Highly recommended!
My husband and I came to the Kitchen Garden to learn how to prepare tasty Sri Lankan food and we are so happy because it was an unforgettable experience.
This is a family farm/restaurant/cooking class place where you can enjoy while Swarna, the best chef and our teacher, explains very well how to cook rice and curry.
We really appreciated the welcoming, the explanation during the cooking class, the details, their farm, the view and most important, their efforts to share their knowledge about local food. Even the music during our class was so nice that we danced while cooking! 🎉
All ingredients are fresh and Swarna takes her time to teach, she is very patient and she loves what she does!!!

"After 6 weeks in Sri Lanka, we can say this was the best rice & curry we had. You have a collection of 8-9 curries, you can refill if you wish. The family is very nice! The tables are on the backyard, with a beautiful view to the rice fields. As a bonus, you can even see the Nine Arch Bridge in the far background :)"
