What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about Restaurante Meli Melo's creative and delicious modern tapas, often described as 'next level' and a highlight of their travels. The charming atmosphere and attentive service contribute to a memorable dining experience, though some find the prices a bit high for the portion sizes. Occasionally, service can be perceived as dismissive, and specific dishes like the Caesar salad have received criticism.
"Very nice restaurants that served modern-style tapas. It feels like you can order random stuff and it will taste good"
Michael Setiawan
"Omg yum! Found most of the tapas rich in Zaragoza. But this place -wow - think “dim sum” (small plates) Spanish food. Highly recommend if you’re used to a clean (Singaporean) palate like me but want some flavour and variety.
Order 1 item each to share so you can sample the whole menu..hee.
Ordered 1, 3, 11, 13, 4, and 22 on the menu in my pic. All 😋 yummy"

"Very good tapas but quite expensive. We had the plate of 5 tapas for 21.50 eur."

Zaragoza is like San Sebastián before it was ruined by loud Americans
I finished up at the hip Meli Melo, where dishes such as a prawn and monkfish burger (€4.50) were good as anywhere in the hallowed foodie haunt of San Sebastián but half the price and could be enjoyed without having to contend with groups of loud Americans attempting to channel their inner Anthony Bourdain.

Like many restaurants in Spain, it doesn’t open for dinner until 8pm, but it’s worth the wait if you don’t usually eat this late. The menu here takes traditional Spanish tapas and infuses a little bit of creativity and other culinary influences into it. There are things like tomato carpaccios, ceviche made with local fish and langostines, and huevos rotos with grilled liver.

Meli Melo has set a name for itself for having the best tapas in town.
