#vigo #gastronomiagallega #raciones #foodtok #foodl...

Reviews Summary

Taberna A Pedra is celebrated for its exceptionally fresh Galician seafood and traditional tapas, offering great value in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. While many praise the quality and reasonable prices, some diners have experienced inconsistent service and found certain dishes to be bland or underwhelming.

"Vigo is renowned as the best place for seafood in Spain. We've certainly had the best chipirones and gambas al ajillo we've ever eaten right here. The wine is great and good value and the pigeons will appreciate any crumbs from the delicious bread."

Mitch And Liz

"Well it's in LP and therefore it must be good.
Well me and my husband didn't agree, I found it otherly boring, he found it as described.
We got a okay albarinho, a bit overpriced.
Then scallops, made with neutral oil, and lime. Have gotten them better many places.
Then sardines that was grilled in neutral oil
And then squid boiled and driessel in neutral oil and paprika.
No salt, pepper or anything.
To me, yes very...natural.. but utterly boring.
Don't wait I line for this one. All the others will serve the same or better."

Morten Pejter Roitmann

"Lovely local place for lunch, tucked away down a small street (aren't they all) in the old town. Really tasty scallops and fried Gambas in a sizzling garlic oil, the bread is necessary, for once, to mop up chilli/garlic infused oil. Great service. It is busy and being in the old town in August will mean a constant stream of people walking past your outside table, so what. The bill was €43.00 for 2, including a tomato salad a bottle of mineral water a coke and coffee. We didn't book, but we did sit down before 1pm. I would go back, always the benchmark I think. Loved it. Go. Enjoy."

The Calle de las Ostras (Oyster Street) is perhaps the biggest tourist attraction in urban Vigo: a whole street for tasting the famous Vigo estuary oysters. The tradition is instinctive: the molluscs are purchased directly from the oyster sellers and eaten right there on the tables provided by the establishments along the street. The best way to wash down this bite of the sea is a glass of white wine with Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin.
