Probado mi primer restaurante Estrella Michelin, Maruja Limón. Este menú degustación es de 130 euros por persona, no incluye bebidas, y aunque parecen platos pequeños, salimos a reventar. El placer de comer is my passion #food #foodie #michelinstar #michelin #gourmet #restaurante #vigo #galicia

Reviews Summary

Maruja Limón is celebrated for its inventive, artfully presented Galician cuisine and unique tasting menus. Diners rave about the surprise elements of the Esencia Maruja menu and the impeccable wine pairings. While most praise the exceptional quality and creativity, some feel certain dishes could be richer or better balanced for a Michelin-starred establishment.

"A really interesting and unique experience. We had the Esencia Maruja menu and it was plenty. We didn’t try with the wine selection but we will next time. I loved not knowing what was coming next. The service was great. You are asked about allergies beforehand and if there is anything you don’t eat. I was a bit nervous because I’m not too brave but steak tartar was as out there (for me) as it got. Can’t fault a thing. We’ll be back 😊"

Marla Singer

"They have two tasting menus. I would recommend the larger one. You can let them know before you go, if there’s things you can’t eat, as the menus are pre-selected for you. One of the best meals we have ever had. Service is great. Atmosphere is perfect too."

G Mac10

"It took me more than a year to gather the courage to write this.
Our family’s first fine dining experience was a magical one.
Every aspect of the meal was meticulously prepared with the utmost precision. The chef’s talent was evident in every detail, creating a surreal culinary experience. Each element was signed by the creator’s determination to showcase Galicia at its finest.
The chef was gracious enough to engage with us to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the chef and the entire team for the exceptional culinary magic they provided."

Vigo Travel Guide - Tourist Information on What to do in Vigo (Galicia)

Maruja Limon (Rua Montero Rios, 4): If you enjoy fine dining in Michelin star restaurants then you’ll love this modern establishment which takes Galician cuisine to a whole new level. Diners are treated to a 9 course degustation menu using fresh local ingredients from the land and sea accompanied by excellent wines from the region. Whilst such creativity has made this restaurant one of the city’s most popular in the haute cuisine category it is not attempting to offer local dishes in their traditional form so won’t appeal to all diners.

One wouldn't expect to find a level of creativity and finesse this high behind the restaurant's humble facade, and yet Maruja Limon will probably deliver one of a lifetime's most memorable meals: local ingredients are sourced and handled carefully to create dishes that tend to look more like works of modern art than edibles, and yet splendidly deliver on flavour.
