Reviews Summary

El Mercado del Trigo offers a mixed dining experience, with many praising its fresh juices, homemade cakes, and breakfast options. However, some reviews highlight inconsistent service, with issues ranging from slow staff to rudeness. While the food quality is often commended, occasional complaints about food preparation and value for money persist.

"I recently visited the gas exhibition in Valladolid and would like to share my impressions of the venue. Getting to the exhibition center was very convenient – several buses go directly to the site, and it’s only a few stops from the train station. The building itself is spacious and comfortable for large events. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. There weren't enough dedicated spaces for work or meeting rooms for business discussions, which made it a bit challenging for networking. Another downside is the lack of outdoor seating areas. Overall, it's a convenient location, but with a few shortcomings for those attending on business."

Roman Vishnev

"Very nice place specially for breakfast and brunch.

They have some breakfast packages which includes drinks and main dish but as well there is a lot of dishes which could be ordered not included in packages.

The juices are really good, they have different mixes like mango and lemon for example, those are fresh and the taste is good.

Quality of the food is very good and the staff is friendly.

As well they have their own are where they sell cakes, cookies, chocolates and many other things to take away, all made from very good quality of ingredients.

The location of this branch is at the center of downtown so is very easy to find if you are walking around."

Nacho Cobos

"Wonderful coffee shop offering a variety of homemade cakes, pastries, sandwiches and snacks. For the health fanatics there's an array of natural freshly squeezed fruit juices and salads."

Hare à la royale at El Trigo restaurantetrigo.com is as rich as one of Isabella I’s ermine-trimmed cloaks, while El Mercado de tu Vida mercadodelval.com has been selling everything from suckling pig to local sobao bread since the 1800s. The area is famous for its hearty meat dishes and La Parrilla de san Lorenzo laparrilladesanlorenzo.es does a mean line in kid goat served with red wines from the Ribera del Duero. Cerveceria el Trebol’s street tables are ideal for a well-poured caña of beer and langoustine lunch, Señorita Malauva vinotecamalauva.com is a buzzy spot in which to taste local wine paired with sheep’s cheese and Los Zagales Tapas loszagales.com does a creative black bread take on the classic morcilla (blood sausage).

The 13 Best Gluten-Free Spots with Outdoor Seating in Valladolid

We went to have coffee with a friend and my boyfriend (who is celiac), we ordered two Iberian toasts, one with regular bread and the other with gluten-free bread. When what we had ordered arrived, they were two identical pieces of toast, so we asked the waitress which one was gluten-free and which one had wheat, she told us that they were both with wheat, so we ordered more (which was not the idea) , another piece of toast but gluten-free and when I brought it it was gluten-free. My boyfriend obviously didn't eat it because we identified a gluten-free bread or a wheat one.
