Reviews Summary

Portal de Guadalaviar is praised for its creative yet traditional Spanish cuisine, with many highlighting the exceptional value of the menu del día which includes unlimited wine. Diners appreciate the generous portion sizes and the comforting Sopa de Ajo, as well as the attentive and helpful service. While most experiences are positive, some reviews mention a slightly disorganized service or that the experience was 'nice, but nothing extraordinary.'

"I was craving hot soup, something I found out is hard to come by here in Spain. I was lucky to have stumbled upon this place. Service was excellent, and they had what I was looking for!
Sopa de ajo is one of the best dishes I've tried. It's comfy, and perfect for Teruel's cold weather. Other restaurants should imitate it and always have a bowl of hot soup or stew on the menu."

"We had an excellent dining experience here, and would thoroughly recommend the establishment. The food was creatively served, yet the portion sizes were generous, which isn't always the case! The homemade croquettes are quite possibly the finest I've tasted and the main course of turbot was a delight. Friendly service too."

James Harden

"Stumbled in somewhat randomly with a group of five and was positively surprised by the quality of the food and service. The menu del dia offers great portions, my tuna carpaccio was both delicious and generous in size, and the servers were incredibly helpful and attentive (especially in offering information and substitutions for food allergies). The menu del día also includes as much wine and water as you’d like, and they are happy to leave a bottle at your table and offer seconds of bread etc. I’d definitely recommend or return here, especially given the wonderful service."
