What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Solric Alta Taverna garners praise for its excellent food, particularly the paella and seafood tapas, and friendly service. Diners enjoy the historical square setting and terrace seating. However, some reviews mention small portions and high prices for certain dishes, and one review cited issues with moldy bread and cold mussels.
"They say don’t hit up restaurants in main squares when in Europe but, this is one of those instances where it’s not true. We arrived in Tarragona past 12:30 and needed somewhere to eat and this place looked good so we chose it. I’m really glad we did because we got amazing food! I ordered anchovies and they got a salad with goat cheese plus a vegetable paella. And that paella was honestly the best paella I’ve had ever. No other paella I’ve had matched up to what I had at that location. Amazing food in a historical square. It really is the best combination. I couldn’t ask for a better meal."
Irwin Mier
"Well cooked food, wonderful service, and he gave us a bottle of house wine for free! Stunning value."
La Canela
"Not the most crowded there, but amazing octopus (pulpo !) recommended by the waiter and reallly very good. They told us in advance what was not available, deserve to come back !"
