For a place with prices like this and a reputation as it does, I was expecting something sensational and was thoroughly disappointed. I would not recommend going here."

"Fine dining lunch tasting menu, right in the centre of town. Professional from start to finish, efficient approach to service...once you select your menu, the dishes keep coming. Each dish is a sight to behold and a marvel of flavour and texture. Our menu had a great variety of produce, favouring fish, which was delicately marinated or cooked to perfection. Beef was included and was as flavoursome and tender as I've ever had. I'd highly recommend a visit. The value is incredible, so this would be a great spot for a family occasion or a get together with your foodie friends. The sommelier chose the dry white wine...a French one surprisingly (in Spain) and it was perfect for the first half dozen courses. A great choice."

There are two tasting menus available (Olivus and Mare Nostrum), plus another called Essencia which is only available for lunch midweek. These include an interesting mix of dishes, from marinated sea bass with liquid leek gnocchi or squid ink ravioli with slow-cooked Iberian cheek to quirky desserts such as Tangerine textures with ginger ice cream and orange blossom water.
