Reviews Summary

Restaurante Casa Cuesta offers a historic dining experience in Triana, praised for its charming ambiance and traditional tapas made with old recipes. However, some diners report inconsistent food quality and attentive but sometimes unpleasant service, with concerns about pricing and frozen ingredients.

"What a lovely historic restaurant. We tried the burrata and house salads with grilled sea bream. Everything was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. Also a great place for people and bird watching with tables on the street and tables inside looking through the large windows. Love the history with the old Sevilla posters and tiles. I would definitely recommend!"

"We had fried calamari and they had no taste at all and it was pretty obvious they were frozen. They come with no sides, so you'll have to buy them and they will cost as much or even more than the food itself. We also ordered beer, and the big one came in a glass no bigger than 330ml. Another food we ordered was a beef steak which was as bad as the rest of the food. The minimum tip is 10%, you don't have a choice. I don't recommend it at all, just avoid it."

"Lovely quaint restuarant. We had several tapas dishes. They were all delicious. The staff were welcoming. The young lady (although only spoke a little English) was very friendly. Highly recommend. Great value for money. Thankyou 😀"

6 traditional bars in Seville

We cross the Triana Bridge, we pass the Guadalquivir river and we are already in Triana, the old neighborhood of sailors, pottery and one of the places with the most personality in Seville. Just behind the lively market is San Jorge street and there is a beautiful bar that looks like it came from the 19th century with tiles, marble tables, a modernist-style wooden bar and posters on the walls of Toros and the April Fair. We are in Casa Cuesta and it has a history of 135 years.

Seville – Triana – my favourite places to eat and drink

Many of my colleagues are pretty knackered after a hard day’s work and just want an easy option that doesn’t involve walking too far. The best bet is to turn left out of the hotel and walk down to the end of Calle Castilla where there is a clutch of tapas bars on the corner with Calle Callao. Casa Cuesta is a good option here.
