Reviews Summary

La Cantina Mexicana is praised for its authentic Mexican flavors, vibrant ambiance, and friendly service, making it a popular spot for tapas-style dining. While many highlight the delicious food, creative drinks like margaritas, and accommodating staff, some reviewers found certain dishes to be basic or bland, and noted that pre-made cocktails lacked depth.

"A true gem! Tasty food in an interesting little place. I recommend the green chicken dish and the chicken with cheese quesadilla thing…very tasty and filling. The mango drink is the best drink I’ve had in a while so I’d get that too. Waiters were very friendly and atmosphere was fun!"

Roshan Shah

"Just amazing, hidden gem in seville. Every dish was so good put together, flavors texture presentation, it was all there. Amazing tequila. And they got the whole place singing me happy birthday 🙏"

Nick Vyvey

"4 of us came without a booking, just after opening and we're seated no issues. But a lot of reservations came in after us, a popular place!
Quick and friendly service, delicious food. We ordered one of lot of food to see how we went and then went for more.
Pork tacos, chicken fajitas, nachos and tortilla chips with salsa. All delicious. Would recommend!"

20 Seville Restaurants You’ll Want to Fly For

Being an inland city, restaurants that specialize in seafood tapas aren’t as abundant in Seville as they are in coastal destinations like Barcelona or Malaga. If you’re partial to seafood like I am, then you’ll be thankful for places like La Cantina. Located in Mercado de la Feria, La Cantina is a restaurant that offers simple tapas made with fresh fish and other types of seafood, which you can get either grilled or fried.

The best of Seville, Spain (restaurants, coffee, cocktails and more)

The traditional neighborhood bar La Cantina serves tapas with fish in the leading role. The bar has been extensively renovated in recent years (really necessary), but you can still enjoy fresh seafood from the market stalls and the (perhaps the) crispiest pescaíto frito in town.
