This is just the selection of four dishes that I tried at La Brunilda, but each was as delicious as the last and so I felt I should mention them all. The menu isn’t huge at this modern tapas restaurant, but each dish is beautifully presented and perfectly balanced – and best of all, the prices are ridiculously cheap in comparison with the UK!. FYI beet salmorejo is a beetroot version of a cold Andalusian tomato soup that you will find in many eateries around the city.

I have to use the word EXCEPTIONAL for La Brunilda because this is the restaurant that made me stop by 2 times to eat 5 dishes of the restaurant. I had the opportunity to eat tapas dishes including duck confit with creamy carrot puree, foie gras with poached pear, salad with goat cheese, fish with truffle cream sauce, beef tenderloin and baked potatoes. All dishes range from delicious to excellent.

It was tucked away in a small alley near the bull fighting ring but not so much discoverable by tourists. The general vibe was a little more upscale and the there was only table seating. The food was top class with some cross over with French and Mexican cuisine.

Salmorejo is a traditional tomato, garlic, and bread soup (served cold) from nearby Cordoba. La Brunilda has created their own version of Salmorejo using beets rather than tomato and upscaling it by serving the soup in a martini glass topped with micro greens.

La Brunilda Tapas is a slightly more upscale take on the tapas bar. After a few days, I found the tapas offering in Seville to be a bit repetitive, so it was nice to see a “better” version, so to speak. Definitely worth the price difference.

La Brunilda has some really great dishes that are cooked to perfection. There is a lot of choice on the menu and all at a reasonable price. Although it is one of the best restaurants in Seville, it does have a drawback – getting a table!

You’ll find this modern tapas bar high on almost every best tapas bar list for Seville. The confit duck, steak & patatas bravas were all winners for me. I didn’t really understand what other dishes like noodles were doing on the menu.

This place is listed on every travel website and blog about Seville known to man, but for good reason. This place is dam good. But the downside to its amazing food and popularity is that it is ALWAYS busy.

This is easily one of my favorite tapas restaurants in Seville. I make a point to go at least twice each time I visit. The sangria at La Brunilda is excellent and a steal at €2.50 a glass.
