Reviews Summary

La Brunilda is lauded for its inventive and delicious tapas, offering exceptional value for money. Diners praise the creative presentation and balanced flavors, highlighting dishes like duck confit and octopus. While the cozy atmosphere and attentive service are appreciated, securing a reservation is crucial due to its immense popularity, and some guests note that service can be efficient but sometimes perceived as typical for the region.

"Best tapas / overall food we have had in Seville so far & definitely worth the wait. Our favorites were the rice with duck & tuna tataki with couscous. The duck confit, steaks with potatoes, and risotto were also incredibly delicious. We could have stayed there all night eating! 5 tapas and 2 drinks were just over 50€.

They promptly open at 830 for dinner service. Bar seating is first come first service & there’s about 6-7 seats there. I recommend getting there at least 20 mins if you don’t have a reservation. Servers don’t give you the time of day or answer any questions before door opens. However, once you are seated, they treat you nicer. Meals came out pretty quick which was impressive too!"

"Plan to get a reservation if dining in the evening. Had dinner here with my fiancé. It was incredible and affordable! Highly recommend the duck confit and tuna tataki. We also got the Cajun chicken with guac (really good!) and the sirloin steak (can be skipped, both of us thought it was just okay). For dessert, you must get the chocolate coulant!"

Minh

"Excellent little restaurant tucked in the corner street. This place saved Seville as maybe due to our luck and inexperience, other earlier places were disappointing. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Had the grilled octopus, duck leg, seared tuna and potato braves. Opens at 8:30pm and you have to get there early and queue up if no reservation as this place fills up very quickly for the first sitting."

What to Eat in Seville

This is just the selection of four dishes that I tried at La Brunilda, but each was as delicious as the last and so I felt I should mention them all. The menu isn’t huge at this modern tapas restaurant, but each dish is beautifully presented and perfectly balanced – and best of all, the prices are ridiculously cheap in comparison with the UK!. FYI beet salmorejo is a beetroot version of a cold Andalusian tomato soup that you will find in many eateries around the city.

To see what tapas can be when not afraid to break out of the mould, look behind the big blue door on an Arenal backstreet. A modern bistro-like space with exposed stone walls and a half-dozen seats at the bar in addition to restaurant tables, La Brunilda has a menu mixing dishes old (ham croquetas) and new (tuna tataki), plus spins on originals, such as a chilled salmorejo soup made with beetroot rather than tomato.Tapas from £2.70 (labrunildatapas.com)

It’s virtually a rite of passage to enjoy the Tapas experience while in Seville (or Spain in general).
