"I can’t describe how much i enjoyed this place enough. It’s one of the best restaurants in Santiago. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star and for the quality the price was great.
One of the best fish I had in my life. If there’s ventresca of bonito in the menu don’t hesitate - that will be a fish you will never fortget.
We were taken away by the fish but the starters had nothing to envy. The anchovy was great and the vieira delicious.
Don’t miss their coulant Santiago Cake a great way of finishing a lovely meal.
The restaurant is íntimate with just a couple tables mores being served at the same time. The chef was really passionate and friendly.
You should not miss this place."

"Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants of Santiago.
The fish was very fresh and tasty. If you are able to order Ventresca, please do. One of the best fishes I’ve had in my life.
The vieiras and anchovies were really tasty and flavourful. Certainly, dishes I won’t forget. The vieira is very fresh and melts in your mouth. The coulant for desert, made us wish we had order more.
I’m surprised the restaurant has no Michelin star. The quality reaches that level and well priced for the quality.
A restaurant we won’t forget!"
Carlos Ruiz
"I can’t believe it. We came to Santiago to go to this restaurant, had a booking for 8:30pm and the restaurant is completely shut. No one here. Appalling - 1 star, speechless"

Favorite Dining Spots in Santiago
Don’t let the simple exterior or bare bones of Bar Pampin fool you… Once you get through the door, you will be into a down-to-earth environment where the focus is on traditional food made with the amazingly fresh high-quality ingredients the region is known. The vintage plates and silverware and the flowers arranged in water pitchers along with the the long communal table at the center give the place a retro vibe The menu features a lot of fish, escabeches, and stewed meats. I had a lovely tapa of bread with anchovies and butter, a squid empanada, a steak tartar made with Galician veal and an incredibly creamy egg yolk and a Tarta de Santiago coolant, which I’ve been working hard to replicate at home!

Word of Mouth: Santiago de Compostela
At Alén Tarrío’s industrial-chic bistro in the neighborhood of San Pedro, the décor may be minimalist (exposed concrete walls, bench seating around a centerpiece wooden communal table), but the cuisine isn’t. Tarrío got his start working at his parents’ eatery in the outskirts of the city before working as head chef at various restaurants in town. At his two-year-old Pampín Bar, where emphasis is on quality ingredients, Tarrío shows off contemporary interpretations of some of Santiago’s more traditional favorites.
