Reviews Summary

Vermuteria Solórzano is celebrated for its lively atmosphere, creative tapas, and extensive vermouth selection, offering an authentic taste of Spanish bar culture. While many praise the delicious food and friendly service, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in service and hygiene, particularly during busy periods. The historical charm and unique offerings, however, continue to draw both locals and visitors seeking a memorable dining experience.

"Loved the vibe & style of this vermuteria and their vermut de la casa and selection of guildas made us come back multiple times during our stay in Santander 👌"

S. Damme

"Had my spoken Spanish 🇪🇸 been better, Vermuteria Solórzano would’ve been even more enjoyable! Obviously a very popular destination from the outset. Decent glasses of Mahou accompanied by olives in a slightly spicy oil/marinade. Mitada Rabas & patatas bravas were everything I hoped they’d be! Dry Vermouth was a new thing for this ‘dyed in the wool Yorkshireman’ & very pleasant it was too - sweet even though it was ‘dry’ & @ 15% it wasn’t going to kill me. Nice big ice cubes to make it cold. Solôrzano was so good that I went back on my second day in Santander!"

Andy Broadbent

"I recently dined in. The fried squid was excellent—crispy, tender, and served hot and fast. The staff were friendly and even engaged me in conversation since I was dining alone. Although I had a small issue with my credit card payment, they handled it kindly. Despite being a vermuteria, most clients weren't having vermut. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend it."

This cute little vermouth bar is filled with lovely carved wooden shelves and a beautiful blue and white tiled bar. A great place for a drink and a variety of tapas bites and snacks, Solórzano won’t disappoint. Pair your glass of cool vermouth with dishes such as fried green piparra peppers, pork cheeks in a thick sauce, steamed mussels or seafood preserves such as sardines or anchovies.
