What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Compostelana Plaza de España is praised for its fresh and flavorful Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with many highlighting the quality of their pasta and pizzas. Diners also appreciate the stunning views from window seating and the friendly, English-speaking staff. However, some visitors have noted confusion with billing, unexpected charges, and occasional disorganization in service during busy periods.
"La Compostelana offers really good food – fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We were impressed by the quality of every dish we tried. From creamy risottos to perfectly cooked pasta, everything was delicious and satisfying.
That said, the only downside is how busy the place can get. If you go during peak hours, the noise level can be a bit overwhelming, especially in the main dining area. For the best experience, I strongly recommend choosing one of the inner dining rooms and going at a less crowded time.
If you do that, I’m sure you’ll have a spectacular time!"

"Pizzas are great, desserts also. If you are going there try Polvito Canario. But my friend was eating carbonara and it was the worst carbonara ever. Staff was a little bit lost and they seemed confused, I don't know, it wasn't the best service ever. The older gentleman was nicer than the rest of the crew, the rest of them just looked like they don't know why they are there and what are they doing."

"Best place we ate in Santa Cruz. Lasagna was amazing, best I’ve had and went great with the Garlic Bread. Sat by the window, lovely view."

Every year we come on vacation to southern Tenerife, and it's a must-see. We are two celiacs in the family, and the gluten-free food is delicious, as is the service, super friendly, and everything is very clean.
