Reviews Summary

Amelia by Paulo Airaudo offers an extraordinary fine-dining experience, lauded for its innovative fusion cuisine, impeccable service, and artistic presentation. Guests rave about the tasting menu's creativity and the exquisite flavors, making it a memorable culinary journey. While the price point is high, the overall gastronomic experience and the attention to detail are consistently praised, with some noting the counter seating as more comfortable than high bar stools.

"This was THE most amazing experience we had. Yes, a tad pricey- but really well worth the price. You can see why the price is so high. The food here is truly ART. Each and every dish was prepared with care and thought. We were presented with all the ingredients prior to the meal which was really interesting to see. Our favorite was the dessert with the banana puree with the caviar and the leaves made from bananas- exquisite. Our friends and us enjoyed the experience tremendously!"

"Went to Amelia with my wife and high expectations because of the 2 Michelin stars, got seated by the bar with the Kitchen in front. Great atmosphere and vibe in the restaurant, Chef Paulo and his fresh team really live up to all expectations, and beyond expectations. Seasonal menu with Amelia pairing was so impressive from start to finish, not a second where we lost our attention; Japanese omakase Italian at it’s finest.

Only the best products are used in every course, I have become a big fan of Paulo Airaudo.

We were so impressed by how smooth everything runs in the restaurant, and by how flavorful and artistic all the courses were, Amazing to have experienced this wonderful evening, we will never forget this, that is for sure.

Thank you Paulo and staff! Amazing work

(We started with a cocktail at the Blind Pig, which is also a very nice addition to the experience, because we were an hour early.)"

"Our dining experience at Amelia by Paulo Airaudo in San Sebastián was nothing short of extraordinary. This 2-star Michelin restaurant blew us away — from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt casual yet creative, with an energy that was both welcoming and inspiring. The service was flawless, and every detail, from presentation to pacing, was impeccably thought out.

Each dish was a mind-blowing explosion of flavors that pushed boundaries while still feeling deeply rooted in culinary craft. And as a sweet tooth, the desserts were my absolute favorite. Never thought caviar on dessert could be so uniquely delicious and memorable — a perfect finish to an unforgettable meal.

We were even lucky enough to meet Chef Paulo himself, who was incredibly humble and graciously posed for a photo with us. This isn’t your typical fine dining experience — it’s something even better. Unpretentious, daring, and unforgettable. Worth every euro and definitely one of the highlights of our San Sebastián trip!"
