"This is an overdue review but much needed. I had such an amazing experience from beginning to end with La Cocina de Colacho. Before we even arrived, I reached out because I had some questions about food allergies and concerns prior to making reservations, and the customer service and immediate detailed response from Mrs Anabel Távara were so helpful and reassuring. After her responsiveness, I was excited to set up our reservations, which she was also able to assist with. We were staying about 45 mins away, and I was hoping the ride was worth it, and it definitely was. Each item had something special about it and it was like just when you thought you've tasted something that couldn't be beat, you would receive your next serving which fired up your taste buds all over again. IF we had any complaints, it was the fact that the menu is a tasting menu, and we wanted MORE!! Lol
The family were all involved and welcoming, and it was so nice to meet them all. Each dish was made with warmth and heart. The food was fresh, and several of the ingredients were from their family garden. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. Even the aesthetic of the restaurant, along with the food, were all creative works of art

"We were lucky to get into this restaurant, they were only serving the tasting menu but it was worth the 105 euros each. It’s family run and we were served by the lovely Nico who helped us decide on wines which were very good.
We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and hearing their passion. The place feels very personal, with everything thought of even the glasses and crockery . The attention to detail goes for the food too.
Each course is carefully thought out, and regional produce used .
Toilets are quirky and took me a minute to understand where they were down stairs .
We will be back next time but will not chance it, will book it before we fly there ."

The menu has evolved impressively since 2022 and on our last visit we were blown away by the tasting menu, particularly the filler of Cherne ( fish) and the roast suckling pig.
