Reviews Summary
La Bodega de Jandia is celebrated for its exceptional tapas and warm, welcoming service from owner Ramon and his team. Diners rave about the carefully curated dishes, with highlights like the stuffed peppers and chocolate mousse receiving special praise. While some find the experience overly tourist-focused or the food average, the overwhelming sentiment is one of delicious food, great wine, and an unforgettable, hospitable atmosphere that makes people return multiple times.
"We would love to give 6 stars.
Not sure what was better, Ramon’s service or the food.
We had two wonderful nights in a row. Ramon was very welcoming and, already after the first night, it felt like having dinner at a friend’s place.
Absolutely warmhearted, welcoming and also entertaining service.
The food was amazing. Every single tapas we ordered was so delicious that during our first dinner we immediately made a reservation for the next day.
If we had to pick the best tapas, it would be the pimento piquillo: Stuffed bell peppers with bolognese sauce. An absolute highlight.
Make sure to order bread to finish the red creamy sauce that comes with it.
Also make sure to order the mousse au chocolates. Even though we were stuffed we were glad we ordered it. A fantastic, light and delicious mousse to finish the meal.
Now here should be the part where we highly recommend this place to anyone.
I’d rather not and hope this place stays a hidden gem!
Thanks again to Ramon and his fantastic team for two wonderful dinners that will be kept in memory for a long time.
Greetings also from Miss Freda."

"I guess this is a place you either love or hate . You will love this place if you never had tapas before and want a show master to tell you constantly how to behave and how to have fun and how great this place is , if you are not picky with food and satisfied with the just average quality of the tapas and if you prefer sitting in a restaurant where there’s are only other tourists and no locals and you also could avoid choosing the dishes by taking a tapas menue. If that is you, you’ll probably love this place (as many apparently do ). But if you like really good tapas and places where also locals go to, then better skip this one . There are better places - eg the one just 100 metres away toward the beach where people constantly queue up to get a seat until late at night . The probably only nice thing is the friendly waitress who spend time explaining the wines and also was willing to speak Spanish with you . And the wines were actually quite nice (we had one from Galicia and one from Palma). The other good thing is that we weren’t charged for the pork with fries that we didn’t touch but had not ordered either."

"The best bodega in Jandía! The food, the drinks and also the staff is fantastic. Make sure to try the mix tapas and always ask for the Tataki. Just amazing! Ramon always finds the perfect snaps for you, the alcohol free strawberry gin tonic was great. An absolute must visit when in Morro Jable. (Reservation always needed!!)"

Stone walls and open wooden windows, legs of ham hanging from the ceiling and a loud atmosphere create the ideal environment in which to indulge in inexpensive tapas, paella dishes and Canarian cuisine, such as ropa vieja (stewed beef with vegetables) and mousse de gofio. At the front of the restaurant, a few tables are placed in the narrow alley, perfect for a relaxing meal away from the busy seafront.
