What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Taberna La Niña del Pisto is a highly popular tapas bar in Marbella's old town, praised for its authentic Spanish dishes and lively atmosphere. While many rave about the delicious food and attentive staff, some diners have noted inconsistencies in food quality and occasional brusque service. Despite mixed feedback, its popularity and traditional charm make it a memorable dining spot.
"Very good in the heart of Marbella Old town. The food is excellent and we booked to take friends and were seated upstairs in the restaurant for the first time. I prefer downstairs as you can order tapas which is not an option in the restaurant. Nevertheless it was still very good."

"Tempted by good recommendations, my wife and I decided to visit this place. We ordered a half portion of calamari and a large portion of king prawns in pili pili sauce. The calamari portion for €11 was a joke—five small, unseasoned squid—but the prawns were even worse.
The menu clearly stated "king prawns," yet we received the cheapest small shrimp—only 12 pieces for €13. The sauce was very weak; I can make twice as good shrimp at home. From a restaurant with tradition, I expect more.
In the end, when I shared my opinion about the food, all I got was a simple "sorry"...
I absolutely do not recommend this place and don’t understand why it is rated so highly."

"The staff were exceptional. They were warm, welcoming and so helpful with order recommendations. Israel needs a raise he was so kind.
The food was a hit or miss. We got the following:
Olives on the house 1000/10 incredible. Best olives I have ever had. I would buy an entire jar to take home.
Spinach pine nut croquettes (10/10)-absolutely amazing flavor.
Calamari (5/10) the batter was amazing but some pieces were very tough and chewy
Fried eggplant-10/10 amazing.
Fried battered shrimp 10/10 perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious
Fried battered cod 10/10 amazing
Steak 5/10 they don’t ask what preference you want it cooked and it was extremely overcooked and tough to eat.
Portion sizes are either half or full. We were there people and got full sizes for everything and it was too much we couldn’t finish."
