La Recova has been serving traditional breakfast for years in an arts and crafts shop. Tables and chairs are pretty small so be prepared for not much elbow room, but the great toast and spreads (savoury and sweet) more than compensate.

The place is not visible to passers-by, because it is hidden in a narrow, side street, and it is also an ordinary shop with handmade crafts from Malaga and Andalusia. The restaurant is hidden inside, inconspicuously between shelves with jugs, jewelry and old furniture. There is one breakfast offer, but rich and actually the only one in the city center.

Although this is a fantastic tapas bar in Málaga, I recommend coming here for breakfast as well as afternoon drinks and snacks. The breakfast here is my favorite in the entire city and consists of traditional Spanish breakfast options like pan con tomate and tortilla. Everything is made in house and you can enjoy it all while surrounded by antiques.
