What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
El Pimiento Verde is praised for its delicious traditional Spanish fare with innovative touches, particularly the highly recommended artichokes and croquettes. Reviewers often mention the good quality food and attentive service. However, some diners have experienced disappointing service and found the tables to be too close together.
"We had lasagna bolognese and pizza with ham on it. Both were delicious.
This restaurant is small but has excellent food and service. There is seating inside and al fresco, but because it is small and to the side of Mercado de San Miguel it feels like a hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Great service. Came without reservation and they accommodated.
Food presentation was excellent. Had the lobster risotto which is their house special. It tasted good but a little hard/undercooked for my preference. However for paella here traditionally its like that. The 4 star is because cleaning out the lobster was very difficult - especially in a nice restaurant its not very comfortable to dig in with your hands with a table that has white table cloths. I think its better that its fully cleaned out since its pretty much a fine dining resto to make the experience much easier.
The artichoke appetiser was also a generous portion and was cooked simply, yet delicious."

"Even though this restaurant is in a very tourist trendy area, the food and service is absolutely amazing. We had a couple locals recommend and it did not disappoint. The artichoke was fantastic and we enjoyed a great steak and meatballs."
