Reviews Summary
Txebiko offers a sophisticated dining experience with traditional Riojan cuisine and an elegant ambiance. Many praise the chef's personal touch, the exceptional food, and the extensive wine list. However, some diners have noted potential language barriers for non-Spanish speakers and occasional issues with service attitude. While prices are on the higher side, the overall experience is frequently described as memorable and well worth it for special occasions.
"This was by far the best dining experience my dad and I had in Logroño! I live here, and my dad came to visit me for a week. We went to as many highly reviewed and locally recommended restaurants as we could, and this was our favorite. The chef walks around the restaurant, delivering food himself and making sure every guest is happy. He is so friendly and very helpful with his recommendations. We had the most delicious milhojas de verduras, Hake, and torrijas!! Definitely will be returning in the future and recommending to everyone who comes to Logroño!"

"Based on the previous reviews we had some expectations but we were unfortunatelly very disappointed. They are not glad to seat and serve guests who don’t speak Spanish but only English.
The main dish - cod in combination with veal - was not good at all. It was slimy and it didn’t look good. We were all of the same opinion. As the prices are pretty high, such a miss shouldn’t happen. However, the appetizers were ok and the desserts were delicious."

"Few years ago I visited this restaurant and I liked the food and the vibe so I visited again. Food was little blend but it was 'okay'. But I was surprised by the service from a lady (50's) with glasses who served us. Such a blunt attitude. I almost thought we were bothering her ordering food. She was attentive but the face expression and the way she talked to us was not appropriate at all. If I hesitate to go there nxt time, the reason will be her."

La Rioja – VISITGastroh!
Founded in 1910 by Silviano Arechinolaza and Ezequiela Barrio, Cachetero is the only centennial restaurant in Logroño and an indisputable reference in Riojan gastronomy. Personalities whose dedications decorate the walls of the spacious dining room have passed through our tablecloths, such as Ernest Hemingway, Anthony Quinn, Jacinto Benavente, Miguel Delibes, Celia Gámez, Antonio Ordóñez, members of the Spanish Royal House and, of course, thousands of people who have given the opportunity to share our recipes every day. Aware of the gastronomic and historical heritage that Cachetero Restaurant represents for the city, José Luis Vicente Gómez "Txebiko", collected with respect and enthusiasm the legacy of four generations.
