Reviews Summary

Tasca Galileo is celebrated as a local favorite, praised for its delicious and creative tapas, cozy atmosphere, and an excellent selection of local wines at great value. While the intimate size means no reservations and potential waits, the friendly service and consistently high-quality food make it a highly recommended spot for an authentic Canarian tapas experience.

"A repeat visit from 6 years ago. I HAD to have the fried cheese and melon marmalade as it was fantastic last time. Queued early for a space (it's small and they don't take reservations) and every dish delivered. Possibly the best tapas I've ever had."

"This is a bussing bar. You go there to talk and drink and enjoy your heart out. Everyone sits on top of each other and there is. It much space to move. Food is great - prices are higher than a cheap bar but affordable. The steak was good though a bit tough. Papas were like my mum would make them and the meat parcels were wonderful. Recommend. Good luck finding a space though."

"What a place…!!

Having read other reviews we arrived at 7:45pm and we were 17 & 18 in the queue to get in. They opened at 8pm and we managed to get a table, as did the couple behind us. The place seats around 20 ish but they do turn tables quickly so the wait was only 30 mins for the next groups.

It is a small menu but amazing food. The sausage in filo pastry were excellent and the duck was outstanding. We also had a bottle of Rioja for €14…!!!

Overall excellent place, friendly staff and amazing food. If you arrive and need to wait for a table, then do..!!"

A Foodie’s Guide to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

This hidden gem of a tapas bar doesn’t take reservations, so arrive early to bag one of the half dozen or so tables at Tasca Galileo. I particularly enjoyed their tortilla filled with salty, flaky bacalao, but everything we tried was well executed, from the salmon tartare to the braised pork cheeks. Tasca Galileo is all dark wood and cosy romance, so order a bottle of Rioja and enjoy the ambience.
