Reviews Summary

Restaurante Arriaga offers a sophisticated dining experience with spectacular panoramic views of Granada and the Sierra Nevada. While the creative cuisine and attentive service are frequently praised, some diners have noted minor issues with communication regarding dietary restrictions and the pace of the meal. The overall consensus points to a memorable culinary journey with exceptional presentation and flavorful dishes, making it a highly recommended destination for special occasions.

"Excellent Spanish cuisine, with a bit Asian element of cooking in tasting menu. Very delicious Iberian pork dishes, mixed with seafood . Worth a Michelin one-star recommendation. You definitely should visit here once you stayed in Granada."

"Amazing views! We have never eaten in a restaurant where there are landscape views to the left and right. Since it is very narrow (3-4 meters across), and the walls are glass, you are surrounded by the beauty of Granada. And the service was fantastic. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The cuisine was extremely inventive, so if you are looking to be surprised and challenged, this restaurant might be for you. Every single dish was unique. Of note - if your Uber/taxi drops you off by dumpsters by a tall cement building, don’t fear, you are in the right place! Just circle around to the cement steps leading down, head around to the left, and the entrance to the elevator to the top floor is there."

"This restaurant offers a beautiful and carefully designed setting that immediately makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. The service was very good, with a friendly and attentive team that made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

The food was delicious, with a menu full of creative and innovative dishes that brought a fresh twist to traditional flavors. Every plate was thoughtfully presented and full of interesting combinations that worked perfectly together.

Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. The balance between the lovely ambiance, the quality of the service, and the creativity in the food made it truly memorable. I would definitely come back to explore even more of their menu."

Restaurants in Granada

Run by Basque chef Álvaro Arriaga, this restaurant sits on the top floor of the Museo de la Memoria de Andalucía just outside the city (it's well worth the taxi drive) and has panoramic views of Granada with the Sierra Nevada behind. Choose from two tasting menus (€80 for six dishes and €100 for nine dishes), both with one surprise after another and available with Andalusian wine pairing. Expect innovative desserts—you'll choose one first since the menu starts with them.

Here, every detail is of extraordinary value, especially the fantastic views of the city, as it is located on the top floor of the Museum of the Memory of Andalusia, 55 metres above sea level. In the kitchen, sophistication rules, with avant-garde presentations, nods to traditional recipes and with the full prominence of seasonal and local produce. By: Marcos García Parajón.
