Reviews Summary

El Bar De Fede is celebrated for its creative take on traditional Spanish cuisine and its unique, welcoming atmosphere. Diners rave about the generous portions and specific dishes like artichokes and the 'Jamon Surprise.' While many highlight the friendly service and lively vibe, some guests have noted higher prices compared to other local establishments and expressed concerns regarding the hygiene of the unisex bathrooms.

"We read somewhere that this restaurant had good food. The write up was correct! We arrived earlier than their 1:30 opening. We reserved a table and just walked around a bit. We were advised in what was the specialties of the restaurant. We had the Callos and an off menu item for the day - Grilled Pork Ribs. Both were amazing!

I highly recommend this place for great food with a laid back classy ambience."

"Super nice waitress and good food (we only had a dessert and tapas with the beer). But much more expensive than other places.

In other reviews I saw that also other people think that 4 Euro for a large beer is way too much. The owner replied, that it´s so expensive because the standard of the place is so high and he by example has a beer glass cooler. Sorry Sir, at least your bathrooms are not even on a developing country standard. You have too surprisingly large unisex bathrooms, but none of them has a pissoir. The toilets not even have a seat! So the men are standing there, pee and make the toilet dirty and after that a women has to sit on it? They can clean it with toilet paper but there is nothing to sterilize it.

I learned so far that Spanish bars and restaurants mostly don´t care much about the hygiene and cleanliness of their bathrooms (and it seems Spaniards in general are used to it or don´t care about their personal hygiene too) but this is a super low level. Disgusting! My wife refused to use the bathroom.

In my home country they say: "take a look in a restaurant´s bathroom and you know how the kitchen looks like"."

"A nice get-together spot in central Granada. Although we were told that sharing a table with strangers is not a norm in Andalucia, we were super lucky with two ladies accepting us at their table. So why not give it a try.
Artichokes was great☆"

But leave space for El Bar de Fede, five minutes away on Calle Marqués de Falces. A fresh twist on traditional food and decor, this place has great wines, cocktails and tapas to die for, including meat dishes and plenty of veggie-friendly pasta and rice ones too; I love the long mushroom strips served like tagliatelle.

Bars in Granada - Top 5 Guide

El Bar de Fede (Bar with free tapas, Calle Marqués de Falces, 1): Ever try to arrange a group get-together but struggle to find the perfect bar with standing plus sitting room, easy access to the bar and good food and drink to boot?. Well, this is your ideal spot - standing-height tables with optional seats in the evening lend an easy-going air to this bar which is actually sit-down in the day (their tables adjust to different heights - it's useful engineering at its best!). Friendly waiters that speak English (only if you want them to) and delicious tapas make for a popular gathering spot.
