The tostadas are prepared with fresh-baked bread, with toppings like crushed tomato or roasted aubergine and goat’s cheese, ideally with a just-squeezed orange juice.

You have a day ahead of you where you will not stop, so to start the day with strength and energy, we recommend you to have breakfast at Café 4 Gatos, in the Albaicín neighborhood. In this cafe they serve quality coffee, sandwiches, yogurt bowls, cakes, cookies, and all kinds of toast (all very large), among other things. This is one of the most typical breakfast bars in the city, we recommend you to go early in the morning to take advantage of the rest of the day.

It is a place in the middle of the Albaicín, near one of the most picturesque viewpoints in Granada, the Placeta de Carvajales, and with a very unique view of the Alhambra. This neighborhood place, ideal for breakfast, has a very pleasant interior area and with 4 tables placed in a corner of the same street. Healthy breakfasts, special toasts made with great care, sustainable ingredients and artisans are some of the things you can find here.

That’s not surprising since the café has a limited number of outside tables with a great view of the Alhambra. Serving delicious creamy cappuccino, Café 4 Gatos has amazing toasts that come with tomato, different jams, Spanish jamon, Manchego cheese, and many other worth-tasting ingredients.

If you’re looking for something slightly different, this picturesque café set in a quaint lane away from the city center could be right up your alley. The menu is not extensive at Café 4 Gatos, but the quality ingredients and rustic setting have helped this little spot make quite a name for itself. With a terrace on the street itself, it is the perfect place to watch the real Granada awake.

The tostadas they give you here are the size of my head, and you can get them with artisan jams and jellies. It’s SO good, and I went on my birthday and the barista spiked my drink with baileys just for kicks and giggles. She said it was because we were both libras but maybe you should try your luck with that too:P

7 Gatos is another great option when you need to eat during off hours. They are open from 8 am until 1 am without closing in the afternoon. Their sidewalk tables are constantly busy, from coffee and pastry for breakfast to pinchos (small bites with toothpicks in them) throughout the rest of the day.

Cafe 4 Gatos is a charming little cafe in Granada with a lovely view of the Alhambra, perfect for sunny days. They offer delicious sandwiches and cappuccinos at great prices. The outdoor seating can get busy, so it's best to arrive early or be prepared to wait.

Head to Café 4 Gatos if you want a traditional European cafe with a simple menu and laidback vibe. Like most Granada cafes, the space is small but they do have several tables and chairs outside. The location is calm and quiet, nestled in the Albaicin quarter.
