Reviews Summary

Mesón El Bodegón is praised for its authentic Spanish cuisine, reasonable prices, and welcoming, albeit sometimes slow, service. Many highlight the quality of the food, particularly the regional specialties and grilled items, while some mention the 'menu del dia' can be difficult to order for non-Spanish speakers and service can sometimes be slow. The cozy, hidden-gem atmosphere adds to its charm.

"Fantastic restaurant for authentic food at a reasonable price!

Recommend reserving a table here, especially on weekends, when we were at our table a number of people came but all tables were either reserved or full unfortunately.

We had the scrambled eggs with asparagus and ham and the ham hock. Both were beautiful and some of the best food I have ever had.

Staff were friendly and welcoming even with our broken Spanish. Had such a lovely time and returning has been put on our bucket list"

"If you want the "menu of the day" you have to explicitly ask for it and is not on paper, the guy just mumbles the dishes out and you have to figure ASAP, if you don't speak Spanish forget about it.
Then the food takes AGES to come and when it finally arrives is the most bland tasteless crap I ever had in Spain.
To put something positive the waiters are super attentive.
Idk how they got such a positive score, probably it was good in the past, well definitely is not good anymore!"

"We had lunch here a couple of days ago. Arrived earlier than the usual Spanish lunch time, which is at about 1PM, so the restaurant wasn’t that busy. For some reason we weren’t served bread. We had to order four raciones, which were okay, but it was strange without any bread to pair it with. The servings are also not consistent as we saw a table served with the exact meal but with more stuff.

Overall the place is dainty. Maybe it would be best to try the menu del dia (although they don’t have much options for that neither) as it is usually a fixed set of meal.

Menu: Okay
Price: €€"
