What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
CASAS COLgadas is celebrated for its spectacular views and its creative tasting menus that highlight local ingredients, offering a truly memorable dining experience in a historic setting. While many praise the exceptional service and unique ambiance, a few diners have noted that certain dishes were underwhelming or that issues like hair in food were not handled with adequate concern.
"Excellent restaurant with spectacular views. We had a tasting menu of creative preparations of local ingredients. Everything was delicious and the service was at a high level as well."

"Both the food and attention were at least 4 stars, and there were definitely a few 5 star courses. However, I found A HAIR in my food (both my partner and I have black hair) and when I alerted the waitstaff, all they offered was to take a 3.50eur item off a 200+eur bill. It left a bad taste in our mouths (literally), and we’d be hesitant to recommend to friends/family due to poor and almost nonchalant response to unsanitary food ):"

"Definitely one of the best tasting menus in the area. Service on point. Small but accurate wine list. The Sherry by the glass selection is a plus."

But its picturesque location on top of a rocky escarpment overlooking that steep, stunning gorge carved out by the Júcar and Huécar rivers is a compelling enough reason to visit. And despite the distinct absence of grand monuments so typical of medieval fortified Spanish cities, it is the organic architecture that blends harmoniously with the rugged landscape that held the largest appeal for me.
