Reviews Summary
Diners praise Casa Mazal for its unique Sephardic cuisine and beautiful courtyard ambiance, with many highlighting the tasting menus and flavorful dishes like the harissa chicken. However, some reviewers noted issues with the restaurant's temperature and dampness, and found certain dishes or wine offerings to be overpriced or lacking in flavor.
"This restaurant is something really special. Located in the heart of former Jewish quarter - Juderia serves Jewish Andalousian food, some of the dishes are Kosher also. You have a choice of 3 degustation menu and I took the most expensive one - 60 Eur, which includes 3 tastings of first course, another 3 tastings of warm first course all this in small portions, mains course - choice of 3 meals, desert, drink and glass of vine. Definitely worth it to taste almost all dishes in small amount from the menu. Everything was delicious. Some dishes are a little sophisticated and not what would you expect but surprisingly all taste very good and i enjoyed very much. Service is very attentive. Over all very nice experience in the heart of Jewish quarter. Definitely recommend to visit!"

"'OK'. We had an experience voucher (seemingly like 2/3 other tables in the restaurant!) from our wedding and so not everything in the menu was included (or alcohol).
The place was cold and damp, and smelt of it, my jacket was cold and damp after, even the wine glasses smelt of damp. The manager/maitre d' didn't really seem to be that engaged with customers at all.
The 3 falafels were ok; quite dry; one was very salty, pita was not really toasted. Berenjena con ternera; the aubergine wasn't cooked enough but the meat was quite nice. Couscous with pollo harissa was ok; not much harissa flavour at all.
But...the worst was the quality and price of wine! €6.50 a glass! And it was not good wine.
Sorry, I wouldn't recommend."

"Beautiful courtyard and delicious food. We had the salmorajo with strawberry. Different and yummy. The salad with crispy chicken and curry chicken were full of wonderful flavors. A special thanks to the woman serving at lunch on Oct. 6. She took super care of us. So kind and warm!"

Restaurants in Cordoba
In the heart of the Judería, this pretty little restaurant serves a modern interpretation of Sephardic cuisine— with organic dishes that are more exotic than the usual Andalusian fare—and a kosher menu. The many vegetarian options include gazpacho with mango and artichoke hearts in saffron sauce; and the siniya (trout baked in vine leaves with pomegranate and mint) is delicious. Try a bottle of kosher wine, and for dessert consider the rose or violet ice cream.

The speciality is the Sephardi cuisine of the Spanish Jews of the late mediaeval period, together with Arabic-Spanish dishes typical of the Moors and other traditional Andalucian dishes, prepared in accord with accepted kosher rules. The menu features lots of beans and vegetable dishes, fish, and lamb and chicken.
