Reviews Summary

Diners rave about El Garbanzo Negro for its authentic, home-cooked Spanish cuisine and value for money, often praising the generous portions and welcoming, cozy atmosphere. While some find the portions small or note communication challenges due to language barriers, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with unique gazpachos and hearty stews being standout favorites.

"Great menue on offer with all typical local food. First course very generous portion, second course slightly on the smaller size. Beet gazpacho and chickpea-chicken stew are a must try. Lovely music and kind welcoming service. All in all - great experience. 🇪🇸🍷🥰"

"Very cozy family style place, staff are welcoming. Dishes are prepared with heart. Though the staff there are not good at English, we managed to communicate and it was a lot of fun:-) we were there twice and liked all dishes we tried . e.g. Chickpea stew with prawn , pork tenderloin with mustard sauce, and their desserts - flan , lemon mousse."

The center is full of small tapas-bars (best: Veedor, Gotinga, Garbanzo Negro,...) For night life bars in the citycenter are recomended ( Nahoo, UMEC ) After 3am all people go to "la punta" as a center of going out and dancing!. For taking a coffee or having a short break I can recomend "plaza de la cadetral" and it's cafes. For the a quick meal you can go to "el refugio" en la calle benyumeda - there you find the best bocadillos of town.

El Garbanzo Negro (Sacramento, 18): Due to the restaurant’s small size and delicious food, reservation is essential here. One of the best places to sample chickpeas with prawns or their creative gazpachos.
